Culture Club - an Ethereal Styled Shoot

This spring we got to team up with the insanely talented gals at Culture Club Salon, aka our soulmates, for the most gorgeous styled editorial around. With a stellar concept by Culture Club’s main babe, Jenny, this day was a daydream come to life.

We started off this day with hair and makeup prep at Culture Club’s home base in the heart of Albuquerque’s North Valley. Besides having some of New Mexico’s most talented hairstylists around, this little slice of heaven also has some of the most aesthetically pleasing decor we’ve ever seen in a salon (we seriously want to move in). And if this day couldn’t get any better, our makeup queen Diana of Something Ginger worked her magic on all of this day’s angelic models.

This vision finally became a reality at one of our favorite places in town, Lighthouse Studio. From tiny butterfly details to divine curly hair styles to the most killer wardrobe, this day was one of our favorites by far.

Give us all the the ethereal styled editorials with the best teams on earth please and thank you!!

Bridal Inspo - a Whimsical, Fairytale Inspired Shoot

Over the past year, we’ve been beyond lucky to create so many dreamy styled weddings and elopements, but we knew we wanted to capture a divine yet whimsical bridal session at the start of spring. We teamed up with some of our fave local vendors for a blush-toned vision we probably won’t stop daydreaming about ever.

For this little fairytale day, we decided to have the perfect mix of soft, delicate bridal details and lush, bright florals. Our friends at A Beautiful Theme created the most out-of-this-world rainbow bouquet that perfectly contrasted the dreamiest blush bridal gown from Raw Golden Rentals and the most regal jewelry from local jewelry queens, Ooh Aah Jewelry. For the most stunning bridal glam our angels at Something Ginger made our bride, Brittany, look like an absolute goddess with a modern, yet elegant bridal glow. To top it all off, we captured everything at our fave little natural light spot in town, Lighthouse Studio.

Even though our season is ramping up again, we know that more divine days like this are ahead of us in 2021, we can’t wait to share even more of the magic!

Wedding Inspo - a Colorful, Disco-Infused Austin Elopement

Earlier this month we had the raddest time in our home away from home, Austin, with the funkiest, most colorfully-bold styled elopement ever. Every last inch of this day was absolutely astonishing and, truth be told, we’re still on cloud nine over it all.

This amazing day kicked off at the perfect blend of modern-chic and ultimate blank slate wedding venue, Camino Real Ranch. This gem of location is the most incredibly place to make just about any wedding vision come to life. Wedding planner and stylist extraordinaire, XO Moreau Weddings, made this day one for the books with the most perfect details and vision. And ICYMI, we’re still very obsessed with the bright, avant-garde florals from Good Seed Floral Co mixed with the most stunning details from Owl and Envelope, Moon Tower Rentals, and Table Manners Texas. To top it all off, Feathers and Frosting created the most astonishing cakes adorned with tiny disco ball details and the most wild shag rug texture.

And if all of the beautifully crafted details weren’t enough, we got to hang out with the most fun, insanely beautiful models on the planet. We adored the way our bride, Rachel, absolutely glowed in that Chosen by KYHA gown from our friends at Unbridaled and we loved how dashing and fun our sweet groom Noah was from start to finish.

To all the wild lovers out there, we’re so excited to create even more stellar days like this one in the future, we can’t wait to get groovy with all you.

Wedding Inspo - a Southwestern Fairytale at Casa Perea

Right in the middle of one of the most challenging, wild years of our team’s existence, life gave us a little slice of heaven with the most charming fairytale day in the heart of Corrales, NM. We were so beyond excited to host this daydream of a shoot-out at Casa Perea Art Space with all of its enchanting garden charm.

In keeping with our mission of 2020, to go with the flow while also trying out some magical new ideas and concepts, we decided to make this styled shoot one unlike any we had done before. With a whole lot of magic from our queens over at Just Lovely Weddings + Darling Details Rentals, the most unbelievable florals from Renegade Floral (just look at those swan pieces!), and the most perfect paper goods from Letterpress Made, we were in absolute elopement heaven. And if all of those details weren’t enough, our dear friends at Hannah Tikkanen sent a custom gown all the way from Canada for this day (!!!) and it was the perfect compliment to the stunning bridal glam by Jewel Hair Design and A.Salon Santa Fe. Gabe + Amy, a Breathtaking Desert Anniversary Session

One trend starting to pick up this year that we simply cannot get enough of is styled anniversary shoots. Whether its a celebration of one year of marriage or fifteen years, we adore when couples wanna pull out all of the stops to celebrate their love story year after year. A few months ago, Gabe and Amy celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary and dang was it a stunner.

We met up with these lovebirds in the middle of the desert and we were absolutely blown away by the details these two brought to this dazzling September evening. To celebrate ten whole years of marriage, three adorable kids, and two amazing careers together, Gabe and Amy brought a whole lot of whimsical glam to their little shoot. From not one but two gorgeous gowns from Dalliance Bespoke (especially that dreamy jade toned one) to the softest, most beautiful glam by Alanna and Jayce of Betty Rose by Alanna to a killer florals by Rose Rebels Floral Designs, these lovers know how to take an anniversary shoot to the next freaking level. And if all of those striking details weren’t enough, Gabe and Amy ended the evening by cracking open Marble Brewery beers at the top of the most divine rock formation.

Congrats on a whole decade of love cuties, we can’t wait to see what the next ten years brings for you guys!

P.S. - Couples, please please hop on this anniversary idea because we’re beyond obsessed with it.

Tyler + Taylor, a Styled Anniversary Session

When our girl Taylor, aka one of ALP’s amazing assistants, told us that she was planning a styled shoot to celebrate one whole year of marriage to her husband Tyler, we knew it had to be absolutely stunning. Even after we were initially rained out due to that New Mexico monsoon weather, we were still able to pull off this beautiful August evening.

Long before they were married and even before they went off to separate colleges, Tyler and Taylor were high school sweethearts. They met in a marketing class at La Cueva High School and according to Taylor, Tyler had that “swoopy boy band hair and brown eyes” that instantly caught her attention. A mutual friend in the class gave these two the ultimate excuse to get to know each other. That same year, Tyler asked Taylor to Homecoming and they’ve been together ever since. Taylor eventually went off to college in Texas to pursue a degree to Biology and to play colligate soccer while Tyler stayed in New Mexico to study pre-med. After about 3 years of long-distance, Tyler moved to Austin and they lived there together for 1 year before moving back to Albuquerque.

After many years of love, these two finally tied the knot in August of 2019 in Santa Fe. One of their biggest wedding themes was Paulo Coehlo’s The Alchemist, a book that they both read during their years apart in college. For these two, it was the perfect summation of their love story and how distance and time don’t always have to be the great decider in a love story, sometimes we get to make those choices and take those chances.

Tyler and Taylor currently live in Albuquerque with their gorgeous huskies Dash, the very sassy and very fluffy one, and Nyx, the snuggly sweetheart. Taylor also doubles as a styling and wedding day assistant for our girl Lauren of Just Lovely Weddings and Tyler is in his last year of med school before these two move for his residency(!!!!!).

Even though that New Mexico weather was working against us for this shoot and forced us to reschedule, we still did the damn thing. We were so beyond grateful for our angel Kim of Something Ginger for creating the most stellar glam not one, but two days in a row, for Floral Fetish with that beautiful bouquet, and Darling Details for letting us borrow a bit of magic for the evening. We adored how Taylor and Tyler not only planned the best outfits, but wore their actual wedding attire for the first half of the shoot (because why the heck not?!).

We’re so inspired by Tyler and Taylor’s enduring love for each other, for life, and for showing us that love really can withstand it all if you give it a chance.

A Day in Dubai - A White Sands Styled Elopement

Every single time we take a little trip down to White Sands National Park in Southern New Mexico, we feel like we’re transported to a complete different world and last year, we captured the most magical styled elopement there!

Inspired by the colorful, eclectic, and completely unique Middle Eastern culture of Dubai, this shoot was beyond some of our wildest dreams. Our bride, Katie, was not only the most stunning redhead on the planet, but her beauty radiated even more thanks to hair and makeup by Taylor Glam, a little bejeweled beauty by The Lucky Sixpence, and, of course, the insanely stellar Chosen by One Day bridal gown from our friends at Lovely Bride Denver. Our groom, Ivan, proved that minimalist wedding style is always a good idea and was beyond dashing in this desert elopement. And we can’t forget our guest of honor, Mitch the camel, who made this shoot a truly out of this world experience.

Besides our gorgeous couple and their furry friend, Traveling Weddings with Taylor made sure that a ton of stellar vendors were a part of this day’s design. From a beautiful bouquet by Gaia Stvdio to rentals by Warehouse Rose Events and Coral Lane Rentals, this Duabi infused elopement was intricate in all the right ways.

We adored every aspect of this shoot, from the details to the laughs to frolicking through miles of pure white sand with some of the best people around, we can’t wait for our next trip to this extraordinary location!!

Styled Sunday - Rocky Mountain Bride at Los Poblanos

As all of our friends know, we are huge fangirls of Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm, our favorite little Albuquerque gem tucked away in the gorgeous North Valley. So when the amazing gals at Rocky Mountain Bride reached out and asked us to capture a new wedding feature for Los Poblanos, we were over the moon!

At the end of last October, we teamed up with some of our favorite vendor besties and made major magic happen right at the peak of fall. We even convinced two of our fave, real-life sweethearts, Carolyn and Paul, to dress up as our bride and groom for the day. Amid the stunning fall foliage, impeccable planning and details came together for one of the craziest, most amazing days ever! We shot a dreamy three day wedding weekend including an insanely yummy welcome brunch and game of bocce ball on day one, followed by bike rides and drink tasting for the boys and flower crown making for the girls on day two, and then the gorgeous, intimate wedding on the final day of festivities.

We were soooo thrilled to be a part of this stunner of a shoot, cheers to many more whimsical, incredible days like this one!!!

Styled Sunday - an Eldorado Hotel Wedding with Rocky Mountain Bride

Last year, we embarked on an incredible journey with Rocky Mountain Bride through the eclectic, enchanting hallways of Eldorado Hotel and Spa. From start to finish, Eldorado Hotel captivates at every turn with the perfect blend of traditional Santa Fe style and modern elegance.

We started this amazing day in the airy bridal suite adjacent to Eldorado’s chapel. Broad skylights and expansive space make this prep area an absolute dream for brides and photographers alike. Next we were enchanted by Eldorado’s simple, yet incredibly enchanting chapel, La Capilla de Oro. Inspired by Spanish colonial art, the gold gilded alter of La Capilla de Oro is perfect for any wedding and stands out beautifully against the pure white walls of this little ceremony space. Paired with vintage Elipale chairs and stellar greenery, this alter was fit for royalty!

Our dreamy bride and groom also roamed through the colorful rooms and hallways of Casa España where they were treated to cocktails and appetizers at an incredibly vibrant bar. And finally, we capped off this perfect day with a reception on Eldorado’s rooftop. Overlooking the iconic Santa Fe Plaza and with an incredible view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, Eldorado’s sky-high patio is the perfect place to finish off an amazing wedding.

From Magnolia Event Company’s brilliant design plan to our bride’s delicate Lea-Ann Belter gown to Rocky Mountain Bride pulling everything together, this sublime day made us fall in love with Eldorado Hotel all over again.

Meet our girl squad! Each one of these amazing ladies play a vital role in our small business and ALP would not be nearly as fun without each of them! We're just four gals that love being a part of documenting and sharing love and know that there's nothing better than helping couples' wedding day dreams come to life! Get to know our small, yet incredible power team and see just why we're in it for the magic!

Owner and lead photographer, Alicia has been documenting weddings since the fall of 2012! Since then she has photographed hundreds of weddings and portrait sessions. Her style can be described as moment driven, editorial, and light-hearted! Married with two children, away from the camera + computer, you can find her living the simple life with her tribe. When not out shooting weddings, her weekends consist of allllll the home and garden projects, lots of snuggles on the couch or exploring our beautiful southwest state!

Alicia's forever right hand gal, Ashley, has been a part of ALP since 2013 and photographs some of our weddings and engagements! She has a sharp eye for detail shots yet captures our couples with a soft, whimsical touch! Not only does she have a wealth of knowledge and experience as a creative in our wedding industry, but is also a super mama of four, wife to her college sweet-heart, and our best photog sista!

Crescynthia (Cressy, Cressy-Roo) is our go-to, day-of-wedding assistant. Don’t let her fun-size fool you, this wonder-woman can juggle carrying a 20lb camera bag(s), light stands, bouquets, water bottles all while somehow keeping us on schedule and marking off items from a timeline. She’s not only our god-sent-day-of assistant but she's also a recently graduated social worker for the State of New Mexico, an amazing wife, Alicia's sister in law and SO much more.

Our girl Jaclyn is our newest face and missing puzzle of our gal squad. She runs our social media, blog, and is an all around content curator for all things online! She is a professional ballerina, a University of New Mexico graduate, and she completes our ALP gal squad!! We are so LUCKY and thankful to have her on board!
