Cameron + Ali, a Whimsical Santa Fe Wedding

Dallas babes Ali and Cameron hold Santa Fe very close to their hearts and when wedding bells were finally in their near future, they knew no other place but The City Different would do for their nuptials. These lovers brought the most romantic, colorful fall atmosphere to La Posada de Santa Fe and it was truly a day for the books.

Long before they were saying “ I do”, Cameron and Ali met by chance through their previous employers. For their first date, these cuties were invited to a ‘young professionals networking concert’, but after a few moments at the celebration, they realized they were at the wrong party (everyone else in attendance was at least 20 years older than them!). Soon after this, these two became inseparable and continued exploring Dallas and the world together. In 2021, a few days after purchasing their dream home that was situated close to where Ali grew up, Cameron proposed and surprised Ali by having all of their family (including their sweet puppy) present for the occasion.

These angels dreamed up their ideal Santa Fe wedding together, spending lots of weekends in the Southwest to make sure that everything was perfection for their big day (and trust us when we say it definitely was). Ali and Cameron started off their day with an emotional first look and lots of sweet moments with their family and closest friends. These two chose to honor their faith by getting married at The Church of the Holy Faith (the sister chapel to their beloved Dallas church) and their intuition that this little Santa Fe church was the perfect place for them to become husband and wife was confirmed when they found out that its garden is dedicated to ‘Alexandra Cameron Ward’ (talk about a sign from the universe!). Following their beautiful ceremony, these hunnies were led by a mariachi parade back to La Posada where they finally got to witness their wedding dream come to life. For their reception, Ali and Cameron had hoped for a serene evening without rain to allow for their al fresco dinner and dang was their wish granted. Their reception, filled with warm-toned arrangements of florals (both on the tables and overhead) and fruits alongside delicate fine china, was completely untouched by Mother Nature. After their tranquil, romantic dinner, Ali and Cameron partied the night away with all of the guests before finishing off their celebration with a sparkler exit and a couple of cheeky kisses at Julia’s Bar.

This day was everything we could have hoped for and then some, we adored spending the most perfect September day with these lovers. Cheers to married life Cameron and Ali!!!

Wedding Inspo - Rehearsal Dinners

Everyone knows that the best way to kick off a dreamy wedding weekend is with a rehearsal dinner or with an even bigger welcome dinner. And, of course, our couples always take this tradition to the next freaking level.

From the Southwestern inspired fêtes in the middle of Santa Fe to the lush celebrations in Austin to partying everywhere in between, these dinners help couples not only welcome their guests, but set the mood for the entire weekend of festivities. We adore when couples use their rehearsal and welcome dinners to incorporate pops of color or unique details that are sometimes the exact opposite of their wedding day theme (a detail we’re truly obsessed with forever and ever).

We can’t wait to see what beauty our couples have in store for us next season and beyond!

Thomas + Jacqueline, a Lush Santa Fe Botanical Garden Wedding

Sweet Indiana babes Jacqueline and Thomas wanted to celebrate their love in the dreamiest Southwestern way possible, so they brought the party to Santa Fe. These cuties defied all the odds for what was truly the most gorgeous, unreal wedding of all time.

These two first crossed paths several years ago through mutual friends and felt a spark so real that both Thomas and Jacqueline were almost immediately head-over-heels for one another. After several years of falling more and more in love with each other, Thomas popped the question at Fair Oaks Farms with some of their closest friends and family present.

Almost two whole years later, and after rescheduling their special day several times, these lovebirds finally got to say “I do” in New Mexico. However, despite all of their careful planning, Jacqueline and Thomas were met with one of the biggest rainstorms of the year right in the heart of The City Different. Deciding that not even a downpour could stop their love, these angels made it official at Santa Fe Botanical Garden while the monsoon storm fell on them. Time seemed to stop for a few moments as Thomas and Jacqueline sealed the deal as husband and wife with a rain-soaked kiss, truly a moment straight from a silver screen feature.

Following their truly epic ceremony, these hunnies led their loved ones over to La Posada de Santa Fe for a garden-inspired soirée that was above and beyond our wildest day dreams. From the insanely lush, vibrant florals from Floriography Flowers to custom escort card horseshoes by Darling Details to a desert-themed cake by Maggie’s Wedding Cakes (which was truly a work of art in and of itself), Jacqueline and Thomas took garden party to the next level. To top it all off, heavenly bride Jacqueline had not one, but two reception looks that were seriously to die for (just peep the cowboy hat and dreamy dress details). After the rain had simmered down for a bit, we stole these newlyweds away for just a few more romantics and dang did their love shine through, even on the rainiest of days.

Cheers to all the lovers who refuse to let anything stand in the way of celebrating their new beginnings and for always finding the silver lining.

Doug + Ray, an Enchanting Santa Fe Wedding

Bay Area hotties Doug and Ray made it official this past October on the prettiest full moon evening. We seriously can’t get over this incredibly stunning day in The City Different with these lovebirds.

These two have been together for almost 8 years and first met in college. Doug and Ray shared their first kiss at a Childish Gambino concert and have been together ever since (some major #couplegoals over here). When they’re not being the coolest freaking couple on the planet, these two love skiing, traveling, playing pickle ball, and trying all the new foods together!

Doug and Ray took modern elegance to a new heights with their unreal downtown Santa Fe wedding. Ray brought out that traditional yet effortlessly chic bridal style with the sleekest Elysse gown and divine glam by Beauty Bar Santa Fe. Our angels at Just Lovely Weddings brought in the dreamiest wedding details and flower royalty A Beautiful Theme created the most epic floral designs white roses and baby’s breath. And if their details weren’t enough, Ray and Doug’s absolute PARTY of a reception at La Posada de Santa Fe had everyone on the dance floor the whole dang night.

Couples like Doug and Ray always remind us of why we do what we love, we’re so in it for the romance, magic, and absolute joy!!!

Kenny + Molly, a Dazzling La Posada de Santa Fe Wedding

Los Angeles babes Kenny and Molly had the most wildly beautiful wedding in Santa Fe last fall, but we’ve gotten to celebrate with these cuties a handful of times before their special day. These sweethearts brought all the romance and all the incredibly fun details to the most unforgettable day around.

Kenny and Molly first met many moons ago in Colorado through work and after about a year of long-distance love, Molly made the move to Los Angeles, where Kenny was living, and these two have been an absolutely inseparable power couple ever since. A few years down the road, they added their sweet fur baby, Mika, to their family and have been traveling all over the world together ever since.

Even though these two initially celebrate their marriage back in 2020 with a tiny gathering at a family property, we’ve been lucky enough to know them since way back in 2018 when we first met them while capturing one of their best friends’ wedding! Since then, Molly has become one of our Instagram besties and we just knew that hers and Kenny’s wedding was going to be a show stopper. From their chic, yet extremely cool wedding style (just peep those matching sneakers) to the invitation suite that Kenny himself designed to their gorgeous al fresco reception to having not just ping pong, but a Mrs Pac Man arcade game for their guests, Molly and Kenny sure as heck showed us how to PARTY.

We’re deeply obsessed with these lovers and all the light they bring to the world, cheers to the Barela Wedding Party!!!
