Elena + Curtis, an Enchanting Santa Fe Wedding

Darling lovebirds Curtis and Elena brought the dreamiest party to New Mexico this September with an incredibly enchanting celebration at La Fonda on the Plaza. These Colorado cuties curated a day full of stunning views, loved ones, and absolute newlywed bliss to make for an unforgettable Sunday in Santa Fe.

Even though they call Denver home, Curtis and Elena met over a decade ago in their hometown of Las Cruces. Both of these babes were in high school band together and after initially crossing paths in 2006, they officially became friends in 2008. After spending many days of hanging out, swapping iPod playlists, and getting lunch together, Elena and Curtis leaned all the way into the spark they felt for one another. Even though they separated briefly during college, these two couldn’t stay away from one another and eventually both graduated from The University of New Mexico together. After spending lots of time growing together in The Land of Enchantment (and earning deeply impressive degrees), these hunnies moved north for Elena to complete her medical residency at The University of Colorado. They are currently living and loving their dream life with their dog, Hugo, in The Mile High City.

For their wedding, Elena and Curtis created a modern, colorful, and completely stunning Southwestern day. They incorporated a ton of New Mexico inspired touches to their wedding (just peep those invitations and mariachi band) in addition to unique details including Curtis’ mint green suit, bright florals from Two Baroque Girls, Elena’s glittering Bridal gown, and the sweetest little Star Wars inspired wedding cake. We loved exploring some of the dreamiest, coziest places on the Santa Fe Plaza with these cuties just as the softest golden hour began to roll into the city. Curtis and Elena ended the night partying with so many of their favorite people and it was truly the most incredible celebration of love and pure happiness.

Cheers to a love that cannot be stopped by time, distance, or anything life throws at it. We know these two are going to have the most amazing new chapter together.

Brett + Karla, a Gorgeous La Fonda on the Plaza Wedding

Long before D.C. babes Brett and Karla were partying the night away with all of their loved ones, they were just two cuties searching for love on the East Coast. These angels brought their amazing love story to a new pinnacle with unforgettable nuptials in Santa Fe.

After they both nearly called it quits on dating apps, Brett and Karla took a chance on their Hinge match with one another and met up for coffee on one of the coldest days in D.C. Almost immediately into their first date, these two realized that there was an instant, natural connection between them and from that day forward, they dove headfirst into a wonderful, loving relationship. A few years later, Brett popped the question to Karla on her birthday at home in Virginia right in the middle of the pandemic. Two weeks later, the newly engaged couple eloped on Brett’s parents’ property and had an intimate ceremony right before Brett was set to deploy with the Navy for a year.

When July of 2022 finally arrived, Karla and Brett kicked off their wedding weekend with a traditional, yet intimate Catholic wedding at the ever-famous Cathedral Basilica de St.Francis of Assisi, making for a truly perfect prelude to their gorgeous La Fonda on the Plaza celebration. After their tiny wedding, these hunnies welcomed all of their guests to The City Different for the most show-stopping affair. On the day of their rooftop soirée, monsoon clouds gathered in the sky, yet even as Brett and Karla said “I do” for the third time in front of all of their friends and family, not a single drop of rain fell on them (cosmic proof of just how much magic was in the air for the newlyweds). And to top off their ethereal ceremony, Karla, Brett, and their guests were paraded around the plaza by the most incredible mariachi band.

After spending the dreamiest part of the evening taking the most serene wedding day portraits, Brett and Karla were beyond ready to start the party with the most un-freaking-real playlist and reception details of all time. These sweethearts made sure to incorporate some of their most beloved songs into their bash including Bad Bunny’s “Ojitos Lindos” while walking in during their grand entrance and “L.O.V.E.” by Frank Sinatra for their cake cutting (something Karla had always dreamed of doing). Brett and Karla topped it all off with a first dance to “Holy” by Justin Bieber (cementing them as one of the most iconic couples ever). The dance floor was never empty during this mid-summer fête and we’re so dang over the moon for evenings like this one.

Brett and Karla made the most of having so many people they love gathered in one place, many of whom had come from afar to celebrate. We’re so dang inspired by babes like this who keep celebrating their love time and time again.

Tyson + Sarah, a Charming La Fonda on the Plaza Wedding

A decade-long love story finally reached new heights this May when Sarah and Tyson were finally wed with all of their loved ones alongside them. These angels brought so much love and energy to the Santa Fe Plaza, it was truly a celebration for the books!

Tyson and Sarah first met over 11 years ago in Australia (where Tyson is from) when Sarah was visiting the country. A small spark between these lovers turned into a flame that stood the test of time and distance as these babes moved to different cities and countries, both near and far away from one another. When Sarah and Tyson both finally ended up in Albuquerque, they knew it was time to turn the page in their love story.

After getting engaged in late 2019, these lovebirds had their hearts set on a 2020 wedding, however the universe (and the pandemic) had other plans. Even though Tyson and Sarah ended up marrying in a small ceremony last year, they decided that they still wanted a huge party with all of their friends and family, a dream that came true this May. From Sarah’s absolutely regal bridal style to the colorful florals sprinkled throughout the day to the all night dance party these lovers held, this spring evening was beyond anything we could’ve dreamed up.

Cheers to making it official (and then making it official again), these long-awaited weddings are some of the most special of all!
