James + Lauren, a Los Poblanos Wedding

Earlier this summer we celebrated long-time sweethearts and all around kind-hearted lovers James and Lauren. Even though it rained hard after their ceremony, these two were still the sweetest, easiest people to capture.

James and Lauren met 11 years ago right before their junior year of high school and haven’t been apart since. High atop the Sandia Mountains (and during Balloon Fiesta season!) James proposed to Lauren. They currently live in Arizona with their pup Gouda and their kitty Chamisa and work as teachers.

This gorgeous summer wedding was full as dainty details and soft tones. From Lauren’s delicate bridal jewelry to the stunning half floral arch from our gal pals at Floriography Flowers to the subtle reception details, everything about this day was gently romantic and oh so perfect. The rain didn’t even stop James and Lauren from adventuring with us around the Los Poblanos’ gorgeous grounds for some tender romantics. Cheers to the cutest little couple around, we adore you guys so much!!

Brad + Kenna, a New Mexico Elopement

We never get to shoot a ton of elopements so when Brad and Kenna asked us to photograph them in the New Mexico desert after legally becoming husband and wife we were over the moon!

These two met while Kenna was working as a nurse in the Emergency Department and Brad was working as a paramedic. They first noticed each other on the job, but nearly a month went by before either of them made a move! Brad asked Kenna out for their first date and they ended having their second date on the evening of their first. The rest between these two is history and now four years later they have a furry baby Oso and can’t wait to spend forever together!

Brad and Kenna also invited us to capture their fun rustic reception at Old Town Farm this November and honestly we can’t wait for more of these cuties! Congrats babes!

Wedding Inspo - Sheath Bridal Gowns

If there’s one current wedding trend that we can’t get enough of, its how popular sheath gowns have become over the past few years. Chic, modern, and effortlessly elegant, this style of dress can go from a backyard wedding to a Santa Fe Plaza wedding to an art gallery wedding to an elopement in the mountains! We love how this minimalist design can be paired with a simple jeweled belt or a lace overlay to make it even more gorgeous. Shout out to one of the most universally flattering designs out there, we can’t wait for more brides to shine in sheath gowns!
