While our wedding seasons are always filled with the most gorgeous, larger-than-life celebrations, we are simply enamored with stunning, intimate weddings. These quaint little days have such a hold on us that we simply had to give all of the reasons why choosing a tiny wedding could be the dreamiest decision of all.
1) Intention
While we love that big weddings help everyone invited feel included, there’s something about just a handful of the most important people in your life gathering to celebrate your love. For intimate weddings, you and your babe get to be more intentional with the time you spend with your loved ones and soak in all the joy.
2) Location
We know that large, traditional weddings can take place anywhere in the world, but a tiny wedding can make it even easier to travel to a remote location with your favorite people. By narrowing down the guest list to a small group, planning becomes easier and you’ll feel less guilty about your loved ones traveling for your celebration. Addtionally, some of the sweetest locations out there can sometimes only manage to accommodate a handful of guests, making an intimate wedding ideal.
3) Money
One of the biggest issues that couples run into when planning a wedding is the question of budget. However, by only inviting a select amount of guests, you can focus on spending money on the elements that are the most important to you and your lover, as opposed to paying for dinner for one hundred guests or more or spending money on elements that may not be important to you. In doing this, you’ll also have extra money for your honeymoon, future home, or your next big adventure.
4) Style
When it comes to large weddings, couples can sometimes feel obligated to follow the latest trends from social media. Yet when it comes to intimate weddings, you’ll feel less pressure to show off for social media and be more likely to let your own personal style shine through, making it a day that’s true to you.
5) Timing
While most big weddings can go on for eight hours or more, an intimate wedding can be shorter (and even sweeter sometimes). By cutting down time in your day, you can have more time with guests, more time to enjoy your day, and more time to revel in all of the love with your partner.

Kim + Daniel, a Heavenly White Sands National Park Wedding
Tennessee hunnies Kim and Daniel returned to their home state of New Mexico to kick off their new chapter with a dreamy, intimate wedding at White Sands National Park. These lovers’ day was one of unbridled joy and the most divine views of all.
Long before they became husband and wife, Daniel and Kim first met when they were both just high school seniors in The Land of Enchantment. Even though they attended different universities for undergrad, these two quickly found their way back to one another and continued to fall deeper in love. After several years of long distance romance, Kim and Daniel moved to Knoxville, TN to begin their new life together. A few years down the road, Daniel proposed to Kim right after a sunset riverboat cruise along the Tennessee River.
These angels knew that a huge wedding wasn’t their style, so they decided that the ever-majestic White Sands National Park in southern New Mexico would be the perfect backdrop for their nuptials. Surrounded by only a handful of loved ones, Kim and Daniel made their love official among the endless sparkling white dunes. Seeing these lovers soak in all of their newlywed bliss in one of the most ethereal places on earth was beyond our wildest dreams.

John + Divya, a Heavenly Santa Fe Wedding
On perhaps one of the most gorgeous November days, sweethearts Divya and John made their love official with a colorful, multicultural, and joyful day in the middle of Santa Fe. These Minneapolis babes brought an incredible amount beauty to the Southwest for a truly unforgettable celebration.
These angels first met several years ago through mutual friends during a summer outing at karaoke bar, The Vegas Lounge. Upon feeling that initial spark, John proceeded to sing “Kryptonite” by 3 Doors Down on karaoke and even though Divya claims that she was unimpressed by his song choice, she was still drawn to him. And while both of these two were incredibly busy with work, school, and life, the stars finally aligned in winter of 2016, allowing for John and Divya to make their first date a reality. A few years down the road on their fifth anniversary, John proposed to Divya while out on a walk with their sweet pup, Phoebe and then surprised her with all of their close friends and family at a local brewery.
For their nuptials, these cuties knew that John’s home state of New Mexico would make the perfect backdrop for their multicultural wedding and immediately fell in love with La Fonda on the Plaza. Divya and John combined both of their backgrounds seamlessly into their day: from a Hindu ceremony to honor Divya’s family to a traditional ring exchange to an amazing outfit change during their reception. Every last inch of this day was full of color, love, and genuine happiness. Seeing these two absolutely blissed out during their first evening as newlyweds was truly such a dream, making this wedding one that we’ll never forget.
Cheers to these soulmates and all of their adventures ahead, we know that Divya and John will continue to bring so much light into this world.

Will + Elizabeth, a Sublime Bishop's Lodge Wedding
We rounded off the ever-magical month of October with some very heavenly nuptials at Bishop’s Lodge right above the Santa Fe Plaza. Chicago babes Will and Elizabeth made their union official with an ethereal soirée on quite possibly the most pristine fall day one could ever hope for in the Southwest.
These cuties met back in 2011 while they were both in college at Miami University in Ohio and after their first date they were absolutely smitten with one another. Upon graduation, these two moved to Chicago where they began their new chapter together. In October of 2021, Will surprised Elizabeth with a sunset engagement on a Santa Monica beach followed by a surprise celebration with a handful of these hunnies’ closest friends and family.
Elizabeth and Will soon had their hearts set on Bishop’s Lodge for their big day as this venue’s iconic views and stunning architecture truly make it one of The City Different’s most magnificent jewels. These lovers combined all of the classic and modern details any hopeless romantic could dream of: an unparalleled Vivienne Westwood bridal gown, soft and yet chic white florals by Floral Elegance, and easily one of the best dressed wedding parties we’ve ever laid eyes on. And to top off all of the magnificence this lovely day encompassed, Will and Elizabeth made extra time for not only the dreamiest of wedding portraits, but for extremely intentional moments with their guests during cocktail hour.
We’re sure that this pair will continue to create beauty and joy on every adventure ahead of them, cheers to married life!

Wedding Inspo - Moody + Modern Weddings
As the days get shorter and the nights get longer, its not hard to notice that weddings get just a little bit more moody and romantic. This season our couples took that dark, romantic aesthetic to the next level with truly unparalleled weddings.
While classic nuptials and boho celebrations still had a hold on 2022 weddings, it was soirées with the perfect blend of modern and moody details that took center stage. From dark florals with just the right amount of color to ceremonies in chapels with gothic architecture to black wedding gowns to making it official in one of the most haunted cities in the United States (New Orleans), these moody days brought in all the mysterious beauty we could ever dream up.
We have an inkling that we haven’t seen the last of these magical fêtes quite yet, here’s looking at 2023 to bring even more bewitching nuptials to life.

On an unforgettable October day, Cape Cod hunnies Marc and Maria were wed surrounded by all of their favorite loved ones. These lovers’ heavenly day was one centered on love, community. and new beginnings.
Maria and Marc first met several years ago in Boston and immediately bonded over their shared love for beagles. Shortly after, these cuties quickly fell for one another and eventually moved out to Cape Cod with their dogs, Ari and George. Marc proposed during the holiday season at the end of 2020 in New Hampshire and Maria, of course, said yes.
These two have spent many vacations in Santa Fe and they knew that The City Different would be the most perfect place to tie the knot. For their divine October nuptials, Maria and Marc incorporated the most elegant East Coast details alongside some of the chicest Southwestern touches to create a truly unforgettable fête. Chris + Courtney, a Heavenly El Monte Sagrado Taos Wedding
A decade-long love story led sweethearts Chris and Courtney to their dream wedding this September and it was a day full of elation, beauty, and so much love. These hunnies said “I do” in the most magical place, Taos, and we’re still on cloud nine over the enchantment this day held.
Courtney and Chris met many years ago in high school through mutual friends and after almost a year of hanging out in the same friend group, Chris asked Courtney to senior prom. After dancing the night away, these two went on their first official date the very next day (where Courtney schooled Chris at mini golf) and have been by each others’ sides ever since. Together, these babes have graduated from college, traveled the world, and designed their first house (that they share with their sweet kitty, Cheeto). In a true full circle moment, Chris proposed to Courtney while playing golf with some of their closest friends and family members.
For their wedding. these lovers knew they wanted to incorporate as much natural, lush greenery as possible into their day (a tricky feat for New Mexico’s mostly desert palette) and immediately fell in love with El Monte Sagrado in Taos. Envisioning the perfect day of classic wedding flair and stunning modern touches, Chris and Courtney incorporated personal details (like the sweetest bar menu featuring their cats and a custom shot ski) and elevated moments (just peep Courtney’s dreamy gown and those out-of-this-world florals). And if their little details weren’t enough, this day was deeply emotional with a tender first look, incredible ceremony in El Monte Sagrado’s Sacred Circle, and toasts by friends and family that truly encompassed all of these babes’ milestone moments over the last few years. To top it all off, Courtney (who is truly a bride after our hearts) made extra time for couples portraits, giving us the perfect window of time to capture those last glimpses of the sunset in Taos. We loved seeing these two soak up their love during their candlelit garden reception dinner and dreamy ballroom afterparty.
Chris and Courtney are two souls that were truly made for one another, it was such a joy to be the tiniest part of their beautiful nuptials and new adventure!

Victor + Molly, a Dreamy Las Vegas Wedding
This September we journeyed up north for the most charming day with babes Molly and Victor. This incredible Las Vegas, NM day celebrated these cuties perfectly while also honoring the adoration they hold for all of their loved ones.
Victor and Molly initially met during undergrad at New Mexico State University while both of them were working on international service projects through Aggies Without Limits. Over time, they cultivated the perfect life together in the Southwest, complete with their pups, lots of adventure, and tons of love. Their love story reached new heights when Victor proposed to Molly in the summer of 2021.
When deciding on the perfect place to say “I do”, Molly and Victor chose Hotel Castañeda in Las Vegas, NM due to its rich history, unique architecture, and their fond memory of stumbling upon it on their way back from a trip several years ago. These hunnies wanted their wedding to have an intentional, yet welcoming vibe and were able to make their dreams come true on their special day. Their emotional ceremony, intimate dinner, and soft portraits during twilight set the stage so perfectly; we’re still reeling from all the beauty this day held. To end the night, Molly and Victor had the ultimate dance party during their reception and almost everyone was on the dance floor (truly a sight we love to see).
We already know that these two will continue to deeply inspire each other and everyone else around them in big and small ways, we were so thrilled to be a tiny party of these lovebirds’ new beginning together!

Cori + Chris, a Tranquil Los Poblanos Wedding
New Mexico sweethearts Cori and Chris always knew that Los Poblanos was where they wanted to make their love official and this fall they finally got to have their dream lavender farm wedding. This serene September day was intentional, blissful, and so incredibly heartfelt.
These lovebirds met several years ago via Bumble and immediately hit it off during their first date at local brewery, Toltec Brewing. Since then, they’ve spent time building their sweet little homebody life together alongside their sweet pups, Ollie and Bowie. After a few years of falling more and more in love with one another, and in the spirit of staying true to their love of their pups, Chris proposed to Cori at a park by tucking the engagement ring in Ollie’s harness to surprise her.
These two dreamt of a wedding that had all of the intimate, yet joyful vibes they hold so close in their relationship so, of course, Los Poblanos fit the bill perfectly. Chris and Cori incorporated meaningful, yet beautiful elements into their celebration, from private vows after their first look to live music during their ceremony to a reception that felt like a tiny, elegant, candle-lit dinner. They even finished off their day with board games instead of dancing and it was truly the most wonderful little element. Seeing these two do deeply personal things with those closest to them was truly the icing on the cake of an already enchanting day!
We adored spending this incredible day with these amazing humans, cheers to a lifetime of love and adventure!!!

Cameron + Ali, a Whimsical Santa Fe Wedding
Dallas babes Ali and Cameron hold Santa Fe very close to their hearts and when wedding bells were finally in their near future, they knew no other place but The City Different would do for their nuptials. These lovers brought the most romantic, colorful fall atmosphere to La Posada de Santa Fe and it was truly a day for the books.
Long before they were saying “ I do”, Cameron and Ali met by chance through their previous employers. For their first date, these cuties were invited to a ‘young professionals networking concert’, but after a few moments at the celebration, they realized they were at the wrong party (everyone else in attendance was at least 20 years older than them!). Soon after this, these two became inseparable and continued exploring Dallas and the world together. In 2021, a few days after purchasing their dream home that was situated close to where Ali grew up, Cameron proposed and surprised Ali by having all of their family (including their sweet puppy) present for the occasion.
These angels dreamed up their ideal Santa Fe wedding together, spending lots of weekends in the Southwest to make sure that everything was perfection for their big day (and trust us when we say it definitely was). Ali and Cameron started off their day with an emotional first look and lots of sweet moments with their family and closest friends. These two chose to honor their faith by getting married at The Church of the Holy Faith (the sister chapel to their beloved Dallas church) and their intuition that this little Santa Fe church was the perfect place for them to become husband and wife was confirmed when they found out that its garden is dedicated to ‘Alexandra Cameron Ward’ (talk about a sign from the universe!). Following their beautiful ceremony, these hunnies were led by a mariachi parade back to La Posada where they finally got to witness their wedding dream come to life. For their reception, Ali and Cameron had hoped for a serene evening without rain to allow for their al fresco dinner and dang was their wish granted. Their reception, filled with warm-toned arrangements of florals (both on the tables and overhead) and fruits alongside delicate fine china, was completely untouched by Mother Nature. After their tranquil, romantic dinner, Ali and Cameron partied the night away with all of the guests before finishing off their celebration with a sparkler exit and a couple of cheeky kisses at Julia’s Bar.
This day was everything we could have hoped for and then some, we adored spending the most perfect September day with these lovers. Cheers to married life Cameron and Ali!!!

Doug + Marissa, a Magical National Hispanic Cultural Center Wedding
As if it were a day straight from a dream, Marissa and Doug were wed on an ethereal September day in a celebration filled to the brim with bliss. These lovers’ adoration for one another took center stage on a fall day that won’t be forgotten soon.
These sweet angels first met back in 2017 at Marble Brewery in Albuquerque, NM and after one date they immediately knew their love was beyond special. After many years of exploring the world together including hiking, camping, traveling, eating amazing food, and hanging with their cutie pup Addie, Doug and Marissa were ready to take their love to the next level. In spring of 2021, Doug proposed to Marissa at Zion National Park with the most divine ring (part of which was the Marissa’s mother’s original wedding band).
Marissa and Doug knew that they wanted their wedding to feel elegant, yet boho and true to their Southwestern home, so they decided to bring the party to the iconic National Hispanic Cultural Center located in the historic Barelas neighborhood of downtown Albuquerque. With its close proximity to the wilds of the Bosque and its uniquely gorgeous architecture, this New Mexico staple made the perfect backdrop for these cuties’ nuptials. Doug and Marissa kept their style incredibly elevated with classic wedding day elements (such as Doug’s sharp suit and Marissa’s divine bridal look) paired next to modern elements (just peep all that pampas grass and that stunning sweetheart table). And, to make their day even more fun, these lovebirds had over 20 of their closest friends in their wedding party (and they were truly the best freaking crew on the planet!!!). Opting out of a first look with one another, Marissa and Doug spent their pre-ceremony moments with their besties (Marissa did the sweetest first look with her gals and Doug spent a little extra time with angel pup Addie) and when they finally got to see one another, everyone present could feel just how deep and real their love truly is. After their emotional ceremony, Doug and Marissa took in some of their first moments as newlyweds wandering around National Hispanic Cultural Center’s dreamy grounds, soaking up all of their love for each other and excitement for their new chapter. To top it all off, Marissa and Doug held the party of the century with the best people, most delicious food, and loveliest scenery. These angels danced right into their life as husband and wife surrounded by all of their favorite people and it was the most magical of evenings.
From the first moment we met these two cuties, we knew they were beyond special humans and their wedding was such a testament to how wonderful they are to know and love. Doug and Marissa, we’re forever obsessed with you both, let’s do it all again soon?!

Kaite + Jeremy, a Breathtaking Los Poblanos Wedding
Alaskan lovers Kaite and Jeremy dreamed up one of the most awe-inspiring wedding days at Los Poblanos that we have ever witnessed. These babes brought their closest loved ones to The Land of Enchantment for a truly unforgettable weekend of love, joy, and serene views.
Jeremy and Kaite first crossed paths back in 2017 at a pharmaceutical dinner and even though Kaite left early, Jeremy was determined to figure out who she was and how he could get her number. Luckily, fate intervened and these hunnies ran into each other again at another pharmaceutical dinner during which Jeremy finally scored Kaite’s digits (and even secured a date for hike). After their first hike together, Jeremy and Kaite never stopped hanging out and started to make their cozy life together in Anchorage, Alaska alongside their sweet kitty, Toulouse, and all of their plant babies. In early 2021, Jeremy proposed at Pu'uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historical Park in Hawaii after about six months of trying to plan the perfect proposal. Kaite immediately said yes and these two set out to create the most stunning wedding fête.
Kaite and Jeremy chose Los Poblanos for many reasons including its unique architecture, stunning gardens, and dreamy New Mexico touches. They wanted an intimate atmosphere that would fully immerse their guests from out of town into a down-to-earth, yet luxurious feel for the entire weekend and dang did they pick the right spot. And if Los Poblanos’ grounds weren’t heavenly enough, these cuties pulled in some of unbelievably gorgeous details to their September day. Angel bride Kaite’s wedding day look was one that brought in both classic wedding elegance (just peek at her veil and unreal engagement ring) and modern bridal vibes (her chic Rime Arodaky gown had not one but two looks in one!!!). Alongside soft, ethereal florals by Florectia Flowers and effortless glam by Genica Lee, Kaite’s bridal details were nothing short of swoon-worthy.
Jeremy and Kaite started off their day with a deeply emotional first look followed by a romantic, candlelit ceremony inside Los Poblanos’ famed La Quinta ballroom. After their nuptials, we were able to whisk these hunnies away for some of the most beautiful evening portraits we’ve ever witnessed. From exploring the gardens to strolling through the lavender fields, it was beyond magical to see these two soak up their first married moments together at the most serene place on earth. And if all of that wasn’t breathtaking enough, Kaite and Jeremy finished off their celebration with an intimate dinner surrounded by all of their loved ones just as the most enchanting nightfall rolled in.
We adore the way these two love each other and everyone around them so much, Jeremy and Kaite’s love is constantly so tangible and pure. We truly can’t wait to see where this world takes angels next!

Everyone knows that the best way to kick off a dreamy wedding weekend is with a rehearsal dinner or with an even bigger welcome dinner. And, of course, our couples always take this tradition to the next freaking level.
From the Southwestern inspired fêtes in the middle of Santa Fe to the lush celebrations in Austin to partying everywhere in between, these dinners help couples not only welcome their guests, but set the mood for the entire weekend of festivities. We adore when couples use their rehearsal and welcome dinners to incorporate pops of color or unique details that are sometimes the exact opposite of their wedding day theme (a detail we’re truly obsessed with forever and ever).
We can’t wait to see what beauty our couples have in store for us next season and beyond!

Alex + Blakely, a Mesmerizing Four Seasons Wedding
Long-time lovies Alex and Blakely have always had a massive crush on Santa Fe, so when it came time to make their love official, they knew that The City Different would be absolute perfection. These two brought all of the romance and beauty to one of the most enchanting locations ever.
Even though these two have been together for many years, their sweet story began in a most unconventional way: bonding over a shared love for pizza. Blakely and Alex met through mutual friends when they were both seniors in high school and one of the first times they ever interacted involved Alex sharing the very last slice of pizza with Blakely at a birthday dinner. From that moment on, these two hunnies became inseparable and quickly fell deeply in love with one another. A few years down the road, Alex proposed to Blakely in Breckenridge at one of their favorite little locations.
This September, these cuties dreamed up the most stunning day at Four Seasons Santa Fe and dang was it a sight to behold. Blakely’s divine bridal style (just look at that iconic Galia Lahav gown), boho-chic florals by Floral Elegance, and little hints of turquoise throughout their details made this day special beyond compare. We loved getting to sneak away with Alex and Blakely after their ceremony for a few blissful moments in the most heavenly Southwest light and then partying the night away with them surrounded by all of their friends and family.
We’re over the moon for these two, their love, and every single piece of their incredible day. Newlywed life looks so good on you angels, cheers to all of the adventures ahead!

Wedding Inspo - 5 Albuquerque Venues to Fall in Love With
Even though the past few wedding seasons have been filled with the most magical destinations both near and far from our beloved New Mexico, there’s nothing quite like The Land of Enchantment, especially our sweet little hometown of Albuquerque.
While we do spend a huge amount of time up north in Santa Fe, we never say no to enchanting celebrations in the city where everything started for us over a decade ago. On the surface, Albuquerque may not seem like a typical wedding destination, but if you you peek around all of its little corners you’ll be absolutely astonished with the divine wedding venues hidden in our quaint city. From heavenly lavender farms to epic historical landmarks to tranquil gardens, Albuquerque is truly a haven for wedding nuptials.
We couldn’t resist the chance to feature just a glimpse of a few of the Albuquerque wedding venues that continually take our breath away, season after season. Our hearts beat just a little faster every time we get to capture love at these incredibly special locations and we’re forever crossing our fingers for even more “I dos” at a few of our favorite gems.

Venue - National Hispanic Cultural Center
Located right near downtown Albuquerque, this historic location is known for its grandiose performing arts center, unique architecture, and rich history. However, one of the many details we love so much about National Hispanic Culture Center is the way that it also makes for the most perfect of wedding locations. Its blend of soft garden touches and stunning southwestern flair makes it truly the best of both worlds.
Venue - Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm
While this world renowned lavender farm needs no introduction, we simply can’t help falling madly in love with it time and time again. With its downright bewitching grounds (including an endless lavender field, iconic silos, and countless gardens) this beauty is a place we are always able to find a little bit more charm in every single time we visit. We can’t wait for more of our darling couples to become as spellbound with Los Poblanos as we have been for all of these years.
Venue - Casas de Sueños + San Isidro de Capilla
We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to feature one of the most entrancing wedding location combination we’ve ever laid eyes upon. The pure white, non-denomination beauty of San Isidro de Capilla makes for the perfect blank canvas for any couple desiring a classic wedding chic feeling that still lends perfectly to the even the most modern of fêtes. And truthfully, we think that one of the most delightful ways to follow up a ceremony in this Albuquerque staple is with an al fresco celebration at Casas de Sueños, a tiny garden known for its irresistible beauty. This little spot is close enough to the stunning bosque, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it the most quaint location.
Venue - Old Town Farm
Perfectly tucked away right near Old Town Albuquerque, this darling little venue is truly the most peaceful of locations. From its stellar red barn to its tiny corn field to vast grounds, Old Town Farm is captivating beyond belief. And if its charming features weren’t enough, this alluring little spot perfectly reflects all of New Mexico’s seasons with its constantly changing foliage.
Venue - Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town
Last, but never least is one of our all time favorites and one of the first venues we ever photographed. Hotel Albuquerque is known for its incomparable beauty, from its Spanish-inspired ceremony pavilion to its stunning, open-air garden, to its famous architecture. We adore this space and the way that couples have continually loved it year after year. We couldn’t dream up a more romantic setting to make if official in the heart of Albuquerque.
Elena + Curtis, an Enchanting Santa Fe Wedding
Darling lovebirds Curtis and Elena brought the dreamiest party to New Mexico this September with an incredibly enchanting celebration at La Fonda on the Plaza. These Colorado cuties curated a day full of stunning views, loved ones, and absolute newlywed bliss to make for an unforgettable Sunday in Santa Fe.
Even though they call Denver home, Curtis and Elena met over a decade ago in their hometown of Las Cruces. Both of these babes were in high school band together and after initially crossing paths in 2006, they officially became friends in 2008. After spending many days of hanging out, swapping iPod playlists, and getting lunch together, Elena and Curtis leaned all the way into the spark they felt for one another. Even though they separated briefly during college, these two couldn’t stay away from one another and eventually both graduated from The University of New Mexico together. After spending lots of time growing together in The Land of Enchantment (and earning deeply impressive degrees), these hunnies moved north for Elena to complete her medical residency at The University of Colorado. They are currently living and loving their dream life with their dog, Hugo, in The Mile High City.
For their wedding, Elena and Curtis created a modern, colorful, and completely stunning Southwestern day. They incorporated a ton of New Mexico inspired touches to their wedding (just peep those invitations and mariachi band) in addition to unique details including Curtis’ mint green suit, bright florals from Two Baroque Girls, Elena’s glittering Bridal gown, and the sweetest little Star Wars inspired wedding cake. We loved exploring some of the dreamiest, coziest places on the Santa Fe Plaza with these cuties just as the softest golden hour began to roll into the city. Curtis and Elena ended the night partying with so many of their favorite people and it was truly the most incredible celebration of love and pure happiness.
Cheers to a love that cannot be stopped by time, distance, or anything life throws at it. We know these two are going to have the most amazing new chapter together.
