Smithwick Family, a Heartwarming Studio Session

Last December was the very first time we got to meet marketing queen Camille, but dang did it feel like we had been friends forever. And as if this sweet little family shoot couldn’t get any better, we also got to capture all the cuteness at the newly opened Light House Studio, the most divine natural light studio in town.

Camille, who owns and runs CRS Social Media Marketing, isn’t just a brilliant business woman, she’s also incredible mamma and wife. The love Camille and her adorable family holds for each other is so apparent, we loved every second of this touching portrait session.

We love love love spending time with adorable little families, we can’t wait for more sessions like this one!

Sutter Family, a Snowy Santa Fe Session

Over the past year, we’ve been lucky enough to connect with the incredibly sweet Sutter family. From capturing Stuart and Kelly’s Los Poblanos elopement to their Fredericksburg, TX wedding to the most serene family session in Santa Fe, we truly struck gold with this family.

Our girl Ashley spent a little time in snowy Santa Fe with the Sutters and it was a perfect prelude to the holiday season. We’ve adored celebrating so much with this amazing family, we’re so incredibly grateful to have crossed paths with each and every one of them!

Freeman Family, a Fall Session

It seems like just yesterday we were shooting Derek and Shawna’s incredibly beautiful La Posada de Santa Fe wedding in the height of New Mexico springtime. Over three years later and these cuties were back in front of the camera with their sweet baby girl, Emma.

We headed out in the the dreamy Southwestern desert at the peak of fall for some of the prettiest, warm -toned family portraits ever! Derek and Shawna’s wedding was so dang special to us that getting to be a part of the next little chapter in their lives seriously made our hearts burst with love.

Cheers to the world’s best couples that become the world’s best little families. We love you guys so dang much!!!

Salazar Family, a Golden Hour Session

The holiday season means that our wedding season officially slows down for the year and we love love love having more time to capture sweet little families in the New Mexico wilderness.

Angela + Her Girls, a Family Session

One of the most special parts of this amazing adventure we get to call our career is being able to capture not only couples and weddings, but families too.

Before Angela was our bride, we captured her and her darling daughters multiple times. Most recently we spent some time in the gorgeous foothills with Angela and her babes. We always adore our time with Angela because she just instantly feels like a best friend, it’s so easy to just do our thing and have an amazing time when capturing her and her family! We love you so much girl, thank you for always trusting us with the most precious moments of your life!

Mundy Family, an Evening Desert Session

It’s always such a sweet treat when we get the rare opportunity, outside of weddings, to shoot family portraits. After all, it was in photographing families and seniors where our love for photography really started (way back when). I loved shooting this session of sweet Brittany and her precious family! They are a kind, wholesome, laid back bunch and I was super honored to grab these images of them as a new family of F O U R! So fun!

Beth + Girls, a Home Session

Event though wedding season is kicking off for our team, we can’t help but think about how close Mother’s Day is too! And with such a special little day on the horizon, we couldn’t help but share one of our favorite little family sessions. A Sandia Mountain Crest Family Session

I was so happy to get the opportunity of photographing the precious Stormie family again! I had the best time doing their portraits earlier this year and i've never shot up at the crest in the snow, so when Cameron suggested a snowy mountain shoot for their winter session I was so excited! Oh, and I still can't get enough of their soft and sweet demeanor with each other, even as we were wrapping up they were still so loving and cute, goodness (see last photo)-- seriously so endearing! Love my time with this sweet family.

A couple months ago, one of my greatest photography pals reached out to me with a very specific and timeless vision of a mother daughter shoot. Being a busy photographer and mama of three, she knew first hand how incredibly fast time escapes us, and the importance of capturing the tender bond of her and precious Annistyn -- just before she outgrows her lap.. She wanted a sweet, simple, and almost angelic setting. We shot during golden hour, in an open field where the soft sun just poured over them. Amy put her all into planning this shoot and it was perfect in every way (I got some of my all time favorite shots).. Motherhood is so incredibly beautiful, and here is proof.

A couple months ago I got the sweetest inquiry from a fellow photographer out in Texas. Stephania and her precious family had secured the most perfect vacation rental home for their stay in Taos, NM and they hired me me to go up there to photograph them and their extended family! As the day approached, the weather got more and more questionable (this monsoon season has been throwing me some curve balls), but rain or shine I was headed to Taos to capture these precious memories of them in the beautiful Land Of Enchantment! I'm so grateful the weather held out for us and so happy to have met such a lovely family!
