Chris + Lauren, a Heavenly Las Vegas Wedding at The Neon Museum

Every single season we get to capture some of the most magical days ever, but when fellow wedding vendor Lauren, who also happens to be one of the most angelic humans on earth asked us to photograph her dream day in Las Vegas we knew it would be a celebration for the ages.

Chris and Lauren first met many moons ago, yet from the very start, they knew their connection was beyond special. Over the years, these hunnies’ love for one another and for all of their shared passions grew, from traveling to loving on their sweet fur baby, Señor, to spending their weekends together (even if it included working on dreamy wedding days for Lauren’s business, Just Lovely Weddings). Finally, this little fairytale was topped off when Chris proposed to Lauren with the dreamiest ring we’ve ever laid eyes on.

These lovers knew that Las Vegas, one of their favorite places to travel to, would be the most magical place to say “ I do” and started planning the most gorgeous wedding of all time. Lauren and Chris wanted to include all of their favorite Sin City spots, from The Neon Museum to the Plaza Hotel to the Vegas Strip and damn, did they do the most flawless job creating a perfectly unforgettable day. By making sure that every single moment of their sweet February day encompassed so many personal and intentional details, Lauren and Chris brought an unbelievable amount of joy, honesty, and endearment to all of their loved ones in attendance.

We could go on forever about how the perfect Lauren’s bridal glam was (because she was absolutely angelic from head to toe) or how astonishing their vows at The Neon Museum were to witness (everyone was in tears!) or even how starstruck we were by the vintage Cadillac Lauren and Chris got to cruise around in (it was unreal!), but what made this day so special was how palpable the love between these two souls really is. As Lauren said so perfectly in her vows to Chris, “being with you is like listening to all of my favorite songs at the same time”, and this weekend was really like watching a film with the most impeccable playlist. The Las Vegas Strip might have roughly 12,000,000 lights, but the love felt on this day shone even brighter, and that is truly the most incredible part of it all.

Cheers to making it official in the most dazzling locations, we’ll cherish this day with Lauren + Chris forever and ever.

Jimmy + Maggie, a Charming Backyard Wedding Reception

When Jimmy and Maggie reached out to us about capturing their sweet backyard wedding reception, we were truly over the moon. We got to celebrate these sweethearts back in 2020 so having another chance to be a tiny part of their love story meant so dang much to us.

While these cuties may call Long Island home, they first met in close to 8 years ago on a dating app while they were both in New Mexico. Initially, they only planned to go out to dinner for their first date, butJimmy and Maggie ended up dancing the night away at The Dirty Bourbon. Since that magical first night, they have spent so much time falling in love with each other over and over again. Jimmy started designing a ring in 2015 (!!!) surprised Maggie by proposing in 2019 in Dallas when she was visiting family.

When the pandemic hit, these two decided to trade in their dream Santa Fe wedding for a much smaller soirée at the ever magical Pecos Historical Site in the summer of 2020. However, Jimmy and Maggie knew that they still wanted to celebrate their marriage, so they opted to also have a small backyard reception last fall. We loved the way these hunnies made their tiny celebration such a memorable, special evening for all of their favorite loved ones. Truth be told, we wish we could hang out with Jimmy and Maggie every single year, they are some of the sweetest souls we’ve ever met!

Cheers to doing the dang thing despite all odds and making each and every day a reason to celebrate love!

Logan + Audry, a Magical Taos Ski Valley Wedding

On the most divine afternoon in August, Logan and Audry said “I do” after nine whole years of being together. These sweet Wisconsin angels invited us to be a part of the magic up in Taos Ski Valley and it was truly heaven on earth.

Long before they were making it last name official in the iconic Kachina Basin at Taos, Logan and Audry were just a couple of college students who happened to meet by chance through mutual friends at a party. They found an almost instant spark and have been falling more and more in love with each other since. A few years down the road, Logan and Audry moved to the beautiful Southwest where they currently live with their two pups, Skip and Georgia. And as if life couldn’t get any sweeter for these cuties, Logan proposed to Audry in 2019 on a rainy day in New York City.

For their special day, these hunnies decided to get hitched at Taos Ski Valley not only due to its immense beauty, but because its the ski resort where Logan taught Audry how to ski and it continues to be one of their favorite places in all of New Mexico. On top of having the most ethereal mountain view for their nuptials, Audry and Logan also had details that were absolutely to die for. From Audry’s divine bridal gown by Made With Love Bridal to out-of-this-world signage and invitations by Funky Olive Design to the most majestic florals by Floral Elegance to the most stunning reception design by Wild in Wonder, this day was nothing short of the most gorgeous day dream. And if their details weren’t enough to swoon over, Logan and Audry even took some time to wander around with us through the beautiful woods and serene scenery of Taos Ski Valley for some of the most enchanting romantics we’ve ever laid our eyes on.

These two and this day will forever be one that we simply can’t get enough of, cheers to all the love and joy Logan and Audry brought to their incredible summer day! We can’t wait for even more mountain weddings that will surely captivate us over and over again!

Wedding Inspo - Winter Weddings + Elopements

The temperature might be getting more and more chilly, but we know that winter weddings and elopements always bring the heat. Even though we don’t capture a ton of cold weather celebrations, the ones that we get to be a part of are so incredibly divine.

Winter nuptials are not only insanely beautiful, they’re also deeply serene. From the cozy, romantic little moments to the way this time of year just ushers in those quiet, intimate gatherings, weddings in the coldest part of the year are beyond enchanting.

Keeping our fingers crossed for even more of these magical days in the future, we’re forever in love with celebrations of love in the middle of winter.

Tom + Justine, an Elegant Santa Fe Wedding

When New York lovers Tom and Justine reached out to us almost two years ago to capture their day, we knew it was going to be one for the books. These two brought all that East Coast glam to the heart of the Southwest and we’re still so incredibly obsessed with it all.

These stunners fell in love after meeting in 2017 and have been together ever since. They’re currently both attorneys and live in New York City with their sweet sweet labradoodle Sam. Before the pandemic, we got to hang out with them for the dreamiest Central Park engagement session we’ve ever seen and we’re still so in love with it.

Even though 2020 forced them to change their wedding date several times, Tom and Justine were still able to do the dang thing this spring at dreamy little La Fonda on the Plaza. Not even crazy weather could keep these sweethearts from saying “I do” surrounded by all of their family and friends. From their soft, yet classic florals to Justine’s beyond elegant bridal look to the most perfect first dance, these two set the bar so high. We adored catching their emotional first look and the most magical post-rain shots right after their ceremony.

Cheers to these stellar newlyweds, every part of their day was beyond unforgettable!

Herbie + Kelsey, a Texas Hill Country Wedding at Ginger Ranch

Despite all of the ups and downs of 2020, sweethearts Herbie and Kelsey knew that they wanted to tie the knot no matter what came their way. They pulled off one of the most gorgeous, elegant, and perfectly intimate weddings we’ve ever laid on eyes on and we know that we struck gold with this magical Texas Hill Country day.

Long before they decided to make it a forever thing, Herbie and Kelsey were classmates at Farnsworth Middle School in Albany, NY where they not only became good friends, but they were part of an even bigger group of friends that would stay close for years to come (and some of those old friends were even at their wedding). Many years later in 2017, after life had taken them in separate directions, Kelsey, who was working on her PhD at Rutgers University in New Jersey, had an opportunity to to present her research at Texas A&M. While on her trip to Texas, Kelsey decided to reach out to Herbie who had recently moved to San Antonio for a new job and the two immediately hit it off. The way Herbie and Kelsey went from childhood friends to soulmates all in a few short decades pulls on our heartstrings so dang much.

A few years later in 2019, with a little help from their cat Teddy, Herbie popped the question right before a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. Kelsey, who was completely surprised, said yes and these two began planning their next new chapter together.

After 2020 stopped them from their original wedding plans, Herbie and Kelsey decided to bring their celebration to Fredericksburg for the most divine October wedding. Every last detail about their day was perfection, from Kelsey’s three (!!!!!) modern, yet elegant bridal looks to timelessly beautiful florals and decor to the constant sense of love all around these two, we were blown away by this sweet Texas day. Seeing Herbie and Kelsey’s devotion and admiration for each other on their big day was not only incredibly inspiring, but it was deeply moving for us. These babes might be young, but we know their love is of a deeply profound and rare variety.

Cheers to the Goldensteins, we’re so thankful for this day with Herbie and Kelsey, here’s so many more years of pure joy and love.

Tyler + Taylor, a Styled Anniversary Session

When our girl Taylor, aka one of ALP’s amazing assistants, told us that she was planning a styled shoot to celebrate one whole year of marriage to her husband Tyler, we knew it had to be absolutely stunning. Even after we were initially rained out due to that New Mexico monsoon weather, we were still able to pull off this beautiful August evening.

Long before they were married and even before they went off to separate colleges, Tyler and Taylor were high school sweethearts. They met in a marketing class at La Cueva High School and according to Taylor, Tyler had that “swoopy boy band hair and brown eyes” that instantly caught her attention. A mutual friend in the class gave these two the ultimate excuse to get to know each other. That same year, Tyler asked Taylor to Homecoming and they’ve been together ever since. Taylor eventually went off to college in Texas to pursue a degree to Biology and to play colligate soccer while Tyler stayed in New Mexico to study pre-med. After about 3 years of long-distance, Tyler moved to Austin and they lived there together for 1 year before moving back to Albuquerque.

After many years of love, these two finally tied the knot in August of 2019 in Santa Fe. One of their biggest wedding themes was Paulo Coehlo’s The Alchemist, a book that they both read during their years apart in college. For these two, it was the perfect summation of their love story and how distance and time don’t always have to be the great decider in a love story, sometimes we get to make those choices and take those chances.

Tyler and Taylor currently live in Albuquerque with their gorgeous huskies Dash, the very sassy and very fluffy one, and Nyx, the snuggly sweetheart. Taylor also doubles as a styling and wedding day assistant for our girl Lauren of Just Lovely Weddings and Tyler is in his last year of med school before these two move for his residency(!!!!!).

Even though that New Mexico weather was working against us for this shoot and forced us to reschedule, we still did the damn thing. We were so beyond grateful for our angel Kim of Something Ginger for creating the most stellar glam not one, but two days in a row, for Floral Fetish with that beautiful bouquet, and Darling Details for letting us borrow a bit of magic for the evening. We adored how Taylor and Tyler not only planned the best outfits, but wore their actual wedding attire for the first half of the shoot (because why the heck not?!).

We’re so inspired by Tyler and Taylor’s enduring love for each other, for life, and for showing us that love really can withstand it all if you give it a chance.

Nate + Cait, a Magical Denver Wedding

Nathan and Caitlin, aka Nate + Cait aka N8 + C8, originally planned for a beautiful fall wedding here in New Mexico, but when 2020 switched up their plans, these lovers came up with one of the most enchanting, unique, and downright unforgettable wedding days we’ve ever witnessed.

Long before they said “I do” in the heart of Denver, these two first met on a dating app, Hinge, several years ago. On the day that Nate and Cait planned to meet up for their first date, a psychic had come into Cait’s work and mentioned to her that she was about to meet the man who she would end up marrying (we got literal chills reading that part). Later on that same day, Cait and Nate met up for drinks and chicken wings and dang was that psychic’s prediction spot on because these two have been together ever since.

Last year, while on a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Nate popped the question on the most dreamy night. After a day of exploring, Cait instinctively picked the exact restaurant Nate had already made arrangements to propose to her at! While watching the sunset Nate asked Cait to marry him and she, of course, said yes. And to top it all off, fireworks were being set off over the city, making this sweet little proposal something straight out of a movie.

Flash forward to 2020, and after changing their initial plans, Nate and Cait wound up with the most remarkable little wedding we’ve ever seen. Their wedding date, 8/8, has significant ties to good luck and new beginnings in many cultures and is also tied to their nicknames, C8 and N8 (a fact we’re low-key obsessed with). Instead of a traditional wedding venue, these babes chose their front porch stoop, which is perhaps one of the prettiest, most intricately designed ones around. This distinctive ceremony spot allowed their guests to still witness everything while also being able to socially distance. To make their already beautiful ceremony spot even more special, Cait and Nate had our angel Bagels Florals created the most astonishing hanging florals to adorn their space.

Following their ceremony, Nate + Cait brought a piece of New Mexico to Colorado with a mariachi parade, featuring the musicians of Mariachi Los Reales, to their reception location, Potager Restaurant, which was a quick six blocks away. After arriving, they had a spontaneous first dance to Cuando Calienta el Sol, one of their fave songs while still being surrounded by all of their loved ones. These newlyweds were then whisked away of the back of a floral decorated truck for some truly phenomenal romantics with us. To cap off this astonishing day, Nate and Cait held an intimate reception dinner at Potager for 20 of their closest friends and family members.

Despite all the challenges, switch-ups, and uncertainty of this year, Nate and Cait still pulled off one of the most marvelous days we’ve ever been so lucky to be a tiny part of. Cheers to N8 + C8, to finding beauty in all the madness of life, and to always trusting the unparalleled power of love.

Wedding Inspo - A Whimsical Backyard Wedding

Have you ever seen a wedding that looked and felt like an absolute movie from start to finish? One where the couple is dreamy, the details are amazing, and every last piece of the day is just pure perfection? Well, that’s what we were treated to last fall and we can’t stop obsessing over all the pretty little parts of this day!

If there’s one way to our hearts, it’s through killer bridal style and this day was filled with it. A stunning sheath gown from Bridal Elegance by Darlene, moody fall florals from Agave Florist, and gorgeous makeup by our gal Kata Baron, made this bride absolutely radiant. Our lovers not only made our dreams come true with golden hour romantics to die for, but they also included special touches like a vintage mint-colored trunk, a mini confetti toss, and a backyard swing!

To top it all off, these babes had the most magical reception with a little help from Just Lovely Weddings and Darling Details Rentals. From a tent adorned with sparkling star lanterns to hand painted tiles for table numbers to one of the coziest fall lounge situations we’ve ever seen, we’re forever wishing we could just live in this day forever!

Cheers to more beautiful wedding days that turn into awe-inspiring nights, we’re so here for all the beauty!

John + Anna, an avant-garde La Fonda wedding

Over the last few wedding seasons we’ve spent a lot of time at the ever gorgeous historic La Fonda on the Plaza and we’ve captured so much love at this beautiful venue. So when John and Anna came all the way from Brooklyn, NY to celebrate their big day at La Fonda, we couldn’t wait to see how they’d make their day so perfectly unique. Lets just say, they did not disappoint. These lovers not only brought big East Coast glam to the heart of the Southwest, but they did it in a way that was outrageously fun, remarkable, and truly a celebration like no other!

John and Anna met through mutual friends at a holiday party and although John tried to get Anna’s number from their friend James, he was unsuccessful (but still managed to get in contact with her!). After several years together, John (discreetly) proposed to Anna with her grandmother’s wedding diamond (swoon) at Grand Central Station before surprising her with dinner at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in upstate New York.

Even though their wedding day had a surprise rainstorm, Anna and John didn’t let anything stop them from celebrating their love! During a slight drizzle (which truly made their ceremony all the more romantic), these two said “I do”surrounded by all of their loved ones on La Fonda’s famous La Terraza balcony. And if their ceremony wasn’t enough to make us super heart-eyed over them, John and Anna’s absolutely killer vendor team including Renegade Floral (bringing those stunning arches and bouquets), Maggie’s Wedding Cakes (with the craziest rainbow creation, shag rug inspired greatness), makeup artist Kata Baron (who’s the queen b of that natural bridal glow), Vera Wang (with a classic yet so dang modern bridal gown) and Diamond Empire Band (a crew that always brings down the house with reception jams) made this day one for the books! They also brought in paper goods and signage from their incredibly talented friend Natalie Soud (please come design our entire lives!) and bluegrass ceremony music courtesy of Santa Fe based Kitty Jo Creek Band.

To top it all off, these two surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance that included just the right amount of both ballroom dancing and disco! John and Anna didn’t just have a super glam wedding, they had a wedding that was completely theirs, true to them and we adore them so much for it! Thank you for letting us be a part of your epic Santa Fe party, congrats Mr and Mrs Redmond!!!

Patrick + Niki, an Enchanted Vine Barn Wedding in Ruidoso NM

Our summer weddings started off with the biggest bang thanks to Niki + Patrick! These lovers not only had the most exquisite details and the prettiest location, but they are are also two of the most genuine and down to earth people around.

Niki and Patrick initially met in high school and even though it was definitely love at first sight, Niki was not single at the time. But even that didn’t stop Pat from reaching out to Niki’s mom to tell her that Niki and her boyfriend should break up (a bold, but amazing move). Eventually, these lovers got together and had an undeniable connection. Patrick and Niki broke up for a few years while Patrick was off at college, but when he returned, fate brought these babes right back where they belong. Patrick proposed early in January of 2018 at Inn of the Mountain Gods in Ruidoso, NM and even used tiny posters featuring the song “The Greatest Love Story” by LANCO to do it.

Flash forward a year and a half later and these two sweethearts pulled off one of the most beautiful weddings we’ve ever photographed! With the incredible Enchanted Vine Barn as their venue, Niki and Patrick pulled out ALL of the stops for their incredible summer, boho bash. Vibrant florals from our newest floral muse, Forth and Floral, were featured on a gorgeous ceremony arch and throughout the reception decor and if that wasn’t enough flowers, Niki’s family created a giant floral chandler to hand directly above the dance floor. They had a custom neon “Lovers” sign for guests to take photos under & Maimie’s Cakes brought out the big guns with a five tier (!) hand decorated cake with a sweets table completely dedicated to Patrick’s love of hunting! And if ceremony and reception details weren’t enough, Niki surprised us all by being the most glam, yet low-key bride on the planet. She adorned her amazing little Lovers Society sheath gown with jewelry from Kendra Scott and some HOT Christian Louboutin heels (yes we’re still drooling over them). She also brought out a super cute denim bridal jacket from Pistola Denim for a few bridal portraits. To top it all off, Niki and Patrick had the BEST playlist, with everything from Dan + Shay to Beyonce to Shania Twain.

We’re 10000% sure that these two couldn’t have been more of an absolute dream to capture and hang out with for a day. Hey Niki and Patrick, we adore you guys! Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Ganaway & can’t wait for all the Ganaway babies!! :)

Styled Sunday - a Fall Bridal Session

For this Styled Sunday, we decided to take it back to 2016 for a glam, yet edgy styled bridal session in Santa Fe with the gorgeous Mara Anderson and an incredible team of vendors. This session had sooo many staple details for fall weddings, from a long sleeve gown, to deep/bold florals, to a chic leather jacket. Mixed in with standout pieces were a few whimsical details as well, including macaroons and simple, neutral wedding stationary. Get inspired this fall with a few wedding trends that truly never go out of style!
This incredible day was also featured by Junebug Weddings as an Edgy Romantic Santa Fe Bridal Inspiration
