Jake + Carly, a Dazzling La Posada Wedding

Pacific Northwest hunnies Jake and Carly waited several years to tie the knot, but when they finally made it official this May, it was a dream beyond dreams. These cuties brought the most chic, elegant garden-inspired celebration to the heart of the Southwest and we’re the biggest fans of it all.

Carly and Jake first met almost a decade ago while they were both attending journalism school in Chicago and very quickly fell for each other. After moving to Washington D.C. for several years, these babes packed up everything and moved all the way to Portland, OR on the other side of the country. During their roadtrip to the West Coast, Carly and Jake just happened to pass through Santa Fe and immediately fell in love with The City Different (but more on that later!). Jake and Carly got engaged in March of 2020 (right as the pandemic was starting) and began planning their wedding from home.

While they were envisioning their big day, Jake and Carly remembered how much they adored Santa Fe and ultimately decided that there was no where else they’d rather get hitched. Two years after their engagement, these cuties finally got their amazing celebration with some of the most unreal details around. With the magic of Just Lovely Weddings and Darling Details Rentals, Carly and Jake’s day was gorgeous and seamless from start to finish. The angels from Viva Flora created a ceremony chuppah unlike any we’ve seen before and Funky Olive Designs created an invitation suite and paper goods straight from heaven. We loved catching the last few rays of sunlight with these angels as they danced in the middle of a little Santa Fe street. Every inch of this day was a true celebration of love, beauty, and pure joy. We’re forever drooling over all the little touches Carly and Jake brought to their wildly beautiful spring afternoon.

We’re forever the biggest fans of the sweetest lovers and all of the pretty wedding day details, cheers to married life Carly and Jake!!!

Doug + Ray, an Enchanting Santa Fe Wedding

Bay Area hotties Doug and Ray made it official this past October on the prettiest full moon evening. We seriously can’t get over this incredibly stunning day in The City Different with these lovebirds.

These two have been together for almost 8 years and first met in college. Doug and Ray shared their first kiss at a Childish Gambino concert and have been together ever since (some major #couplegoals over here). When they’re not being the coolest freaking couple on the planet, these two love skiing, traveling, playing pickle ball, and trying all the new foods together!

Doug and Ray took modern elegance to a new heights with their unreal downtown Santa Fe wedding. Ray brought out that traditional yet effortlessly chic bridal style with the sleekest Elysse gown and divine glam by Beauty Bar Santa Fe. Our angels at Just Lovely Weddings brought in the dreamiest wedding details and flower royalty A Beautiful Theme created the most epic floral designs white roses and baby’s breath. And if their details weren’t enough, Ray and Doug’s absolute PARTY of a reception at La Posada de Santa Fe had everyone on the dance floor the whole dang night.

Couples like Doug and Ray always remind us of why we do what we love, we’re so in it for the romance, magic, and absolute joy!!!

Spring Wedding Style

As warmer weather approaches us and flowers begin to bloom, we can't wait for all of the seriously gorgeous spring weddings to come in the next few months! This year we wanted to take a look back at some of our all time favorite spring weddings and to give all of our future brides out there some really amazing ideas!

Our friends at The Black Tux not only offer some pretty amazing suit and tuxedo rentals for weddings, but they also gave us some major color palette inspiration! Check out the three beautiful weddings below and the tips we have for each idea!

Wedding #1: Shawna + Derek
These lovers had the epitome of pastels for their special day. From gorgeous, flowy bridesmaid dresses to dark navy suits paired with subtle green ties, this wedding combined the best of both modern and traditional wedding ideas. Also, how amazing was that floral bedecked swing?!

Wedding #2:  Keith + Claire
In this wedding, the bride and groom had a totally different take on a traditional spring wedding. Instead of using only light pastels, they combined deep reds and bright pops of fuchia with lush green tones and soft pinks. The groom wore a simple, yet classic black tux while the bride opted for a stunning blush toned gown.

Wedding #3: Joaquin + Alexandra
Our final wedding in this spring style blog focused on subtle neutrals for a clean, elegant vibe. The groomsmen wore  deep navy suits paired with soft grey ties and the bridesmaids wore varying natural shades to put on modern spin on this classic wedding.  The bride chose a lavish white gown and it was truly the cherry on top!
