Attention to details on wedding days are definitely one of our favorite things here at Alicia Lucia photography and we can’t help but gush over other wedding vendors who share that same love & passion. Our girl Jessie Baca has coordinated countless weddings and styled shoots here in New Mexico and we’ve been lucky enough to capture so many of her ultra creative, amazingly gorgeous ideas. From pampas grass adorned seating charts at the iconic Santa Fe Opera to the moodiest winter wedding table arrangements at Los Poblanos to incredible Spanish inspired hacienda weddings in the heart of Santa Fe, there isn’t any creation of Jessie’s doing that we haven’t fallen in love with at first sight. We love this talented lady and her endless passion for all things southwestern and beautiful!!!

Styled Sunday - Rocker Romance Elopement

If there’s one thing we love more than elopements, its elopements with a cool, carefree, rocker vibe! We spent the best little winter day at Los Poblanos with some of our fave vendors to make one a super edgy, wild in love styled elopement. From a handprinted leather jacket to llama wedding cake toppers to endless smolders from our couple, this day was beyond a dream! Here’s to hoping for even more wickedly cool days like this one!

Styled Sunday - a Ghost Ranch Vow Renewal

When it comes to the Southwest, there is simply nothing more magical than a glowing twilight evening at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico.  Bold hints of turquoise, soft dusty rose hues, and ethereal touches of cream make the perfect color palette for an romantic, authentic evening in the desert. Set amid the dramatic backdrop of New Mexico's expansive mountains and never-ending plains, this perfectly intimate, family-centered evening is complimented by Mother Nature's Southwest region. Scott + Leanne, a SITE Santa Fe Wedding

Scott and Leanne, aka Hush and LeeLee, aka the coolest/most down to earth couple out there, made it official this past June in Santa Fe, NM. These babes met while playing soccer and the connection was pretty much instant. With a little magic from the one and only Jessie Baca, Scott and Leanne pulled off a killer wedding at the newly opened (but really tho, there were still parts of the gallery that were being constructed— see below) SITE Santa Fe, a contemporary art space, with some of the coolest details around. From personalized coozies, to French fry filled centerpieces, soccer ball cake toppers and dancing to LOVE by rap genius Kendrick Lamar, these two pretty much had something for everyone. LeeLee included a few super sweet, personal details on her wedding day: her mother’s own (insanely gorgeous) wedding veil and her parents’ toasting glasses. And just when we thought that this couple couldn’t be any cooler, Scott’s only request, a fun “dice bet” photo op complete with Mickey’s and some cold hard cash. These lovers set the bar sky high for prioritizing a family centered day while still incorporating their unique and fun style into every detail. We were sooo thrilled to be a part of their day, congrats again to Scott and Leanne! #leeleehush

Chris + Alexa, a La Fonda Summer Wedding

This June we were lucky enough to kick off our summer wedding season with Chris and Alexa's bright, Southwestern destination wedding at La Fonda on the Plaza. These lovers brought the party all the way from Houston, TX for an absolutely unforgettable day filled with bold wedding colors, a unique vintage wedding ring that belonged to the groom's grandmother, and the most divine crocheted wedding gown from Made With Love Bridal. From first look tears to a mariachi-led procession around the ever enchanting Santa Fe Plaza to a film-worthy sparkler send-off, Chris and Alexa set the expectations soooo freaking high!!! Huge congrats to the Heffrons, we were beyond thrilled to help you celebrate the beginning of your marriage in our gorgeous state of New Mexico!!!

Alex + Marcela, a Boho Winter Wedding at Four Seasons Santa Fe

On a chilly December weekend in Santa Fe, we were beyond honored to be a part of Alex and Marcela's three day wedding soirée. With a ton of magic from the ever talented Jessie Baca, this couple hosted not only an incredibly boho chic wedding at Four Seasons Santa Fe, but they also had an intimate bridal dinner adorned with watercolor signage and delicate butterfly details at El Nido and a fun rehearsal dinner at The Cowgirl, making their wedding the ultimate celebration of Santa Fe Culture and cuisine!

On her wedding day, Marcela took her love for the Southwest even further by donning a pair of rustic cowboy boots under her exquisite Claire Pettibone wedding gown.  There wasn't a dry eye during this couple's  incredibly moving vows and Alex even made vows to Marcela's beyond adorable daughter Izzy (who was so excited that she rushed up to the alter once the couple was pronounced husband and wife). After a round of stunning golden hour photos with the newlyweds and Izzy (and their pup, Cinderella Rainbow— sweetly named by Izzy), these lovers celebrated in style, with everything from cactus cupcakes to New Mexican inspired table settings to an amazing sparkler exit. This wedding was also featured on Carats and Cakes! A huge congrats to these lovers on an incredible wedding weekend and on recently welcoming a new baby into their family, we are beyond thrilled for you two!
