Brett + Karla, a Gorgeous La Fonda on the Plaza Wedding

Long before D.C. babes Brett and Karla were partying the night away with all of their loved ones, they were just two cuties searching for love on the East Coast. These angels brought their amazing love story to a new pinnacle with unforgettable nuptials in Santa Fe.

After they both nearly called it quits on dating apps, Brett and Karla took a chance on their Hinge match with one another and met up for coffee on one of the coldest days in D.C. Almost immediately into their first date, these two realized that there was an instant, natural connection between them and from that day forward, they dove headfirst into a wonderful, loving relationship. A few years later, Brett popped the question to Karla on her birthday at home in Virginia right in the middle of the pandemic. Two weeks later, the newly engaged couple eloped on Brett’s parents’ property and had an intimate ceremony right before Brett was set to deploy with the Navy for a year.

When July of 2022 finally arrived, Karla and Brett kicked off their wedding weekend with a traditional, yet intimate Catholic wedding at the ever-famous Cathedral Basilica de St.Francis of Assisi, making for a truly perfect prelude to their gorgeous La Fonda on the Plaza celebration. After their tiny wedding, these hunnies welcomed all of their guests to The City Different for the most show-stopping affair. On the day of their rooftop soirée, monsoon clouds gathered in the sky, yet even as Brett and Karla said “I do” for the third time in front of all of their friends and family, not a single drop of rain fell on them (cosmic proof of just how much magic was in the air for the newlyweds). And to top off their ethereal ceremony, Karla, Brett, and their guests were paraded around the plaza by the most incredible mariachi band.

After spending the dreamiest part of the evening taking the most serene wedding day portraits, Brett and Karla were beyond ready to start the party with the most un-freaking-real playlist and reception details of all time. These sweethearts made sure to incorporate some of their most beloved songs into their bash including Bad Bunny’s “Ojitos Lindos” while walking in during their grand entrance and “L.O.V.E.” by Frank Sinatra for their cake cutting (something Karla had always dreamed of doing). Brett and Karla topped it all off with a first dance to “Holy” by Justin Bieber (cementing them as one of the most iconic couples ever). The dance floor was never empty during this mid-summer fête and we’re so dang over the moon for evenings like this one.

Brett and Karla made the most of having so many people they love gathered in one place, many of whom had come from afar to celebrate. We’re so dang inspired by babes like this who keep celebrating their love time and time again.

Michael + Erika, a Windswept Ghost Ranch Wedding

It may have been the brightest, windiest spring day of all, but lovers Erika and Michael still pulled off one of the most stunning weddings we’ve ever seen. These babes made it official way out at Ghost Ranch and just trust us when we say it was one for the books!

Long before they were celebrating in the Southwest with all of their loved ones, Michael and Erika first met on Tinder in 2019 (or in their words they “found love in a hopeless place”). Their connection was undeniable from the very beginning and both of these cuties say that they have never felt a connection so tangible and genuine before (swoon). Michael proposed to Erika at Ghost Ranch in the fall of 2021 and they decided that this special location would also be the most picturesque place to make their love official.

Fast forward to April of 2022 and these lovebirds finally got to have their dreamy little wedding day. For their epic day, Erika and Michael chose vendors that not only create incredible work, but are also amazing humans. Our angel Melissa at Renegade Floral created some of the most breathtaking details we’ve ever witnessed, from the bridal bouquet to the floral arch to the centerpieces, everyone was truly blown away by all of the floral goodness. And if that wasn’t enough, Erika wore the most perfectly rustic, yet modern Pronovias gown from our babes at The Dressing Room West and paired her look with cowboy boots and the most beautiful engagement ring by Native American jeweler Keri Ataumbi.

Michael and Erika also paid special detail to making sure that all of their guests had an amazing experience so they included super personal details into their celebration, like the record player that guests could pick vinyls to listen to before the ceremony. They even had Dig and Serve whip up the most amazing food and drinks (they also brought that incredibly cozy tent for guests to hang out in!). After their emotional ceremony at Ghost Ranch, Erika and Michael took the party to downtown Santa Fe for an intimate dinner at La Boca and a tiny adventure around the plaza just in time for some golden hour romantics.

We were so dang thrilled to witness this amazing adventure of a day, cheers to love in the most unexpected places!!!

Eric + Amber, a Lush Eldorado Hotel Wedding

After the dreamiest decade together, sweethearts Amber and Eric made it official with rooftop nuptials in Santa Fe. These angels chose the most perfect April afternoon to celebrate their romance with all of their loved ones.

Long before dating apps were a major part of modern day love stories, Eric and Amber first connected on the dating website Plenty of Fish (they tell everyone they met on a fishing trip!) and the rest is truly history. During a trip to New York in 2021, Eric proposed to Amber while they were enjoying a stroll around Central Park. From that moment on, these hunnies knew that they wanted the location of their marriage to be just as magical as The Big Apple, so they decided to take the party to Santa Fe!

With its stunning views of the city and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, alongside traditional adobe accents, Eldorado Hotel was the obvious choice for these babes as they wanted a venue that encompassed so much of The City Different’s magic. Amber and Eric dreamed up a lush green and terra cotta color palette that included lots of live greenery, an unreal wooden sun alter, and a table scape with the most stunning accents. Besides just having incredible details, Eric and Amber also made sure their day was an intimate, intentional celebration by giving their guests the opportunity to not only enjoy their wedding, but to experience the mesmerizing energy of Santa Fe.

Amber and Eric created a day that was gorgeous, fun, and truly rooted in the things they treasure most, loved ones and serene locations. Cheers to all the captivating days to come in our beloved Santa Fe!!!

Kevin + Sara, a Tranquil Los Poblanos Wedding

Perhaps one of our favorite moments of this spring season was spending the most quiet, beautiful day with Sara and Kevin. These two made this already stunning March afternoon at Los Poblanos even more gorgeous with all of their loved ones.

These angels decided on a tranquil, intimate early spring affair with only their closest friends and family and it was truly a dream from start to finish. Adorned with simple yet, unique bridal details from Sachin & Babi and Mejuri, Sara made for the most beautiful bride, perfectly complementing all of the surreal touches of Los Poblanos. After the sweetest first look, Sara and Kevin held their ceremony in the most quaint gazebo and included not only the usual wedding traditions, but they also honored Kevin’s culture with a beautiful Thai water blessing (which involved so many of their immediate loved ones). After the most peaceful little evening of romantics with these lovers, Sara and Kevin topped off their day with an intimate dinner alongside their guests just as the sun set in the distance.

Days like this are some of the ones we love the most, beautifully quiet days truly have a special place in our hearts.
