Jonathan + Stephanie, a Stunning Sandia Wedding

Longtime lovers Jonathan and Stephanie tied the knot last September and it was truly the most beautiful sun-kissed celebration. We adored every single minute with these babes and all of their loved ones!

There couldn’t have been a more perfect day for these lovers to make it official last year, Stephanie and Jonathan had nothing but beautiful New Mexico scenery for their wedding day. These two angels also included so many stunning little details into their day, we were truly blown away by the beauty of it all. From the dreamy invitation suites by La Maison Paper to the divine florals by Something Special with Flowers to the most elegant cake from Simply Sweet by Darci, Jonathan and Stephanie really had it all. And to top it off, these lovers got to spend the most lovely golden hour together as newlyweds with the majestic Sandia mountains peeking out on the horizon.

We’ll forever adore these sweethearts and their little day so dang much!!

Fathers' Day with ALP's Favorite Dads

Today more than ever we want to give a little extra love to all of the amazing dads, father figures, and dads-to-be that we’ve met over the years!

Wedding days are that much more special because of these wonderful men and all the love and guidance they bring our couples on their big days and beyond! We love getting to see all of the father-daughter first looks (and even a few flower girl and groom first looks with our grooms who are already lucky enough to be dads!), those emotional walks down the aisle, and of course parent dances during receptions.

Cheers to all the incredible fathers out there, our world is that much better because of your love and kindness!

Wedding Inspo - Sweetheart Tables

For weddings both big and small, we love any details that can make the day a touch more intimate for our couples, so of course we have a lot of love for precious little sweetheart tables. Seen in both large weddings and even the tiniest of elopements, sweetheart tables let couples steal away a few moments together while still being a part of the celebrations.

While sweetheart tables aren’t seen in every single wedding, they can add a special touch to a couple’s day. They can provide a sense of intimacy among the ongoing festivities as well as a focal point for guests. A sweetheart table can also give a couple or a wedding planner/designer the opportunity to create an additional decorative space that complements the entire wedding day!

We’ve seen these cute little tables decked out in everything from elaborate boho furniture and eye-catching florals to simple and elegant accents. We love getting to see a tiny hint of a couple’s personality with these reception staples.

Scroll through and maybe you’ll find the perfect sweetheart table with just the right accents, we can’t wait to capture more of these darling tables!

Mother's Day with ALP's Wedding Day Mamas

If there’s one group of amazing women we appreciate more than anything, its all the incredible mamas out there! For us, Mother’s Day is the perfect excuse to celebrate these incredible women, but honestly we want to make all of the mothers in our lives feel extra special everyday!

Due to all of our pretty weddings and elopements, we’ve met some beyond wonderful mamas. From mothers of the brides and grooms, to stepmoms, to mother-in-laws, to grandmothers to mother figures, we’ve witnessed so many angelic women make wedding days that much more beautiful with their love, compassion, and light.

Our team is made up of a strong group of gals and many double as badass mamas as well. We’re in awe of the mothers we’ve met on wedding days and the mothers we have in our very own lives. Cheers to being surrounded with so many stellar women, today and every single day of the year!

Wedding Inspo - Spring Florals

Even though we’re staying indoors a whole lot more this spring, we can’t help but be extremely inspired by all of the nature in full bloom we still get to witness. We’ve found our favorite spring infused color palettes from some of the sweetest wedding days to add a little bit of light to the blog!

Although some of these weddings weren’t necessarily spring weddings, these florals still made us daydream of the perfect April or May wedding, full of muted pastels, bright whites, or even softly colorful tones. From sage and white bouquets to blush tinted to arrangements to to even subtly bright floral arches, these flowers still light up our little worlds to this day.

Here’s to some of the beauty that we can continue to find in our world every single day, we can’t wait to capture more stunning florals like this in the future!

Wedding Inspo - Groom Style Third Edition

While its true that we have a huge affinity for stellar bridal style on the blog, we can’t help but share a little bit of love with our stylish, dapper, and downright handsome grooms! Not only are these guys total on-camera knockouts, they’re also some of the kindest, most personable dudes you could ever ask for on wedding days!

We love a sleek, traditional black suit or tux, so how do grooms elevate this classic style? Our grooms have tapped into everything, from incorporating Southwestern flair with bolo ties or designer cowboy boots to adding personal touches like a cool pair of sunglasses or a surprise pop of color in their boutonniere or suit jacket lining!

And we’ve had plenty of grooms chose other colors for their wedding days suits as well including blue, grey, tan, and even mix-and-match colors! We’ve loved seeing how these guys dressed up colors other than black for their big day and adored seeing so many unique details including ties with tiny prints on them (from polka dots to florals) to broaches (instead of a traditional bow tie or tie) to opting for unique textures like wool.

Last season we saw an incredible variety of groom style and honestly we’re thrilled to see what our next guys have in store for us, we’re crossing our fingers for a few extra daring grooms with non-traditional suit colors! Until then, take a look at these wedding day hunks, we had the best time capturing each one of these wedding day hubbies!

If there’s one thing everyone knows about us its that bridal glam never ever fails to absolutely blow us away every single wedding day. Not only are we always in awe over our angelic brides, we’re beyond inspired by the amazing teams of makeup artists and hair styles that make bridal dreams come true!

Although wedding trends and details may change, season after season bridal glam is something that remains a true classic, no matter what a bride’s vibe may be. Whether its a natural beauty look with soft tones, a bold makeup statement with a stand-out lipstick , a classic updo , or a simple, messy-glam bun, all of our brides look like goddess when they walk down the the aisle (and for the rest of their wedding days)!

We can’t help but be major fans of some of our industry besties who make all the hair and makeup magic happen time and time again. We’re beyond lucky to capture the artistry of these talented babes!!!!!

ALP Team Picks - Bre's Fave Weddings

Last, but certainly not least, is our girl Bre and her favorite weddings! Known for her stunning work with our team as one of the best second shooters on the planet (and the boss babe of her own newborn photography business), she stepped it up and beautifully lead shot five of our weddings in addition to a bunch of our engagement sessions (including the most amazing Central Park session in NYC)! She’ll be back this season as both a lead and a second photog, and she shared her favorite weddings from 2019. We can’t wait to see how she captures some of our lovers in 2020 and allll we can say is #gobrego

Emilee and Ben:
I loved the style that Emilee had for her wedding. The slick hair back with the bold red lip is something you don’t see often and she pulled it off so well. The groom is a golfer and they got married on the golf course which was a great personal touch. This couple grew up together, grew apart and came back together at a family gathering and now they are spending their future together and it was the most precious thing to see and everyone could feel it in the room. Their food was also the best food I had!

Laura and Conner:
I loved ending the year with this wedding at Los Pablanos. The color palette she chose was gorgeous with the landscape. I love ho laid back they were and having the cake cutting and toasts in the library made for an intimate setting. They braved the cold during their portraits and the fur she had for some of her portraits was stunning and fun to incorporate. They also had a perfect balance of having an intimate gathering and having a party.

Anna and John
:
This New York couple was so cool and so down to earth, and we laughed a lot with them. She absolutely nailed her look for her wedding in that stunning Vera Wang gown, and then in their true style, she changed into a more dancing dress when they got announced at the reception. It was Gucci mixed with Granola vibe and I was there for it. It was quirky and elegant and so much fun.
