Kate + Andy, a Joyful Old Town Engagement

We kicked part of our January engagement season with sweethearts Kate and Andy in the middle of precious Old Town Albuquerque and it was beyond joyful and so dang special. These two are truly the epitome of soulmates and we’re so over the moon for them.

When cuties Andy and Kate first met at a Halloween party in Brooklyn, NY just a few short years ago, they knew their connection was absolutely unreal. They immediately bonded over their mutual loves for people watching in the city and the insanely funny ig account @subwaycreatures. Soon after, they two decided to take their love to new heights with a proposal and their wedding at Indian Pueblo Cultural Center this summer which is sure to be a showstopper.

Pedro + Maggie, a Heartwarming Old Town Engagement

There’s truly nothing as enchanting as exploring some of our favorite locations during the chilliest months of the year and this sweet evening with Pedro and Maggie in Old Town Albuquerque was no exception to that rule. This December engagement was one to remember for years to come.

These angels are going to officially tie the knot this year up in Santa Fe, but before the real festivities begin we just had to spend the most precious day with them. From strolling around the plaza to grabbing coffee at Blackbird Coffee House to stealing kisses among the quaint adobe buildings, Maggie and Pedro made their engagement session a dreamy one indeed.

We can’t wait to celebrate these angels in The City Different this year, we know it will be the most stunning affair!

Isaac + Joe, a Romantic Old Town Engagement

Sweethearts Joe and Isaac decided that there was no place more magical than New Mexico to make their love official, so we got to join them during their wedding week for a dreamy little engagement session. This precious evening in Old Town was beyond our wildest daydreams.

Eudora + John, a Quaint Old Town Engagement

East Coast angels John and Eudora journeyed out to the Southwest this month to share their sweet little engagement with us. This evening in Old Town with these hunnies was one we’ll never stop dreaming about.

Even though these cuties are tying the knot this fall, they initially met nearly seven years ago on a frosty evening at Hong Kong Restaurant in Harvard Square, a historic neighborhood tucked away in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Showing up separately with their own friends, these lovers eventually bumped into one and ended up dancing the night away together. Now several years (and one sweet dog) later, John and Eudora are making their love a forever thing in the heart of Santa Fe at the Museum of Art this August. We already know that their desert-inspired, summer celebration is going to be one for the books!

We can’t freaking wait to help these hunnies kick off married life in just a few short months!

Engagement Inspo - Engagement Style Look Book Fourth Edition

While we’re taking a little bit of downtime in between wedding seasons, we couldn’t help but reflect on all of the killer engagement looks we encountered over the past year. Our couples always bring their best styles to their sessions and dang are we truly obsessed with them.

Rich + Veronica, a Heartfelt Old Town Engagement

We had the honor of spending a tiny bit of time with Veronica and Rich as they strolled through Old Town on the most beautiful little evening.

These cuties met online over a decade ago and immediately knew they had found something special during their first date. Over the years, Rich and Veronica have continually built a life together founded in mutual respect and adoration. Veronica cherishes that Rich has integrated into their blended family so naturally and lovingly, fully embracing her children and grandchildren.

Even though plans for their nuptials are still in the works, this couple knows they definitely want the occasion to feel light and fun, include all of their loved ones, and encompass New Mexican flare through the food and music.

We can’t wait for future festivities with these absolute sweethearts, cheers to finding that once-in-a-lifetime kind of love!

Andres + Bailey, a Gorgeous Old Town Engagement

After nearly a decade of love, Bailey and Andres are taking their love to the next level with the wedding of their dreams next year. We adored spending the most perfect little summer evening with these hunnies in Old Town Albuquerque.

Andres and Bailey first met way back in high school and were immediately smitten with one another. After many years together, including nearly four years of a long distance relationship, these two brought it full circle by putting down roots in their home town of Albuquerque. Besides continually falling more and more love with one another, Bailey and Andres also spend a whole lot of time loving on their little angel pup, Jack.

To make their love even more official, these babes are going to celebrate with whats sure to be an unforgettable wedding up at Four Seasons Santa Fe and we can’t wait for all the beauty!

Taylor + Eliza, an Serene Old Town Engagement

When we first met California babes Eliza and Taylor, we just knew they are some of the most amazing humans around. We spent the most incredible evening exploring Old Town Albuquerque with these hunnies and, dang, was it one of our favorite evenings so far this year!

Taylor and Eliza first met seven years ago through the dating app Hinge and it was truly meant to be from the start (even though ever-punctual Taylor was a whole 15 minutes late to their first date!!). They instantly fell into the perfect groove with one another and years later they consistently hold space in their relationship for empathy, communication, and (most importantly) humor! These babes currently live near Los Angeles with their sweet schnauzer-poodle-terrier mix, Hamish.

We’re counting down the days until Taylor and Eliza say “I do” this April at La Fonda on the Plaza with some of our favorite vendor friends. Cheers to what will surely be one of the best celebrations of the year!!

When we found out that our incredibly talented, absolutely amazing friend Lauren of Just Lovely Weddings and Darling Details Rentals was engaged, we were beyond excited for her. Brandyn + Larissa, an Old Town Engagement

Long before these two New Mexico babes were exploring the desert and twirling around Old Town Albuquerque with us, Brandyn and Larissa shared the ultimate love at first sight story!

Nearly two years ago in March of 2018, these lovers met through mutual friends while both enjoying a night out at the Dirty Bourbon Dance Hall, a local country bar known for its popular dance floor, with their respective friend groups. Brandyn, who was an old high school friend of one of Larissa’s acquaintances, was introduced to everyone and our girl Larissa was instantly smitten with his contagious smile and dashing good looks. Much to her surprise, Brandyn immediately asked Larissa to dance (even though she insisted that she was a terrible dancer). Despite constantly stepping on Brandyn’s toes, Larissa still felt so at ease with this charming stranger and he even invited for a second dance! Sensing a solid spark, Larissa and Brandyn shared their first kiss at the end of their second dance (don’t mind us having major heart eyes over this).

At the end of the night , they didn’t exchange numbers, but rather Larissa insisted to her friends that if it was meant to be, Brandyn would find a way to contact her (talk about a major power move). As we all know, Brandyn found a way to reach out and even though he lived in Denver, CO at the time, they made long distance work before he moved back to Albuquerque, NM.

A few years later and these cuties are making it last name official this fall. They’ll tie the knot at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales with an outdoor reception at Prairie Star in Bernaillo! We had the most fun giggling with these babes and capturing their amazing love for each other this past February, we can’t wait for more with these two!!!!

Andrew + Deanna, a Holiday Engagement

With 2019 coming to a close and a new wedding season on the horizon, we are sooo anxious to capture all of our stellar 2020 couples in the new year! And we were beyond excited to wrap up this year’s engagement sessions with New Mexico lovers, Deanna and Andrew in sweet Old Town and funky Nob Hill.

These New Mexico babes pulled off the most stunning little December engagement in the ever-festive heart of Albuquerque. In Old Town, we got to capture Andrew and Deanna stealing kisses among quaint adobe buildings, catching golden hour rays on the prettiest balcony, and even getting cozily intertwined in some Christmas lights. And if that wasn’t enough, these two also kept it casual in Nob Hill with some sweet romantics in front of the soon-to-be-iconic Greetings from Burque postcard mural (trust us, you NEED to see this pretty piece of art in person!).

We loved soaking up this gorgeous evening with these lovers, we can’t wait for Andrew and Deanna to tie the knot at Hotel Andaluz in May 2020!!!

Long before wedding days, we love spending a little extra time with couples during their engagement sessions! We adore not only getting to see their love irl, but we love making besties for life!

“Its honestly so difficult for me to pinpoint three or four weddings that I love more than all the others because for me its usually a few shots from weddings and engagements that draw me in. Alicia and I always joke about how much I love non-traditional shots so thats exactly what this blog post is full of. Some of the photos are so obviously unique that anyone can see why I adore them, but I’d have to say that each and every photo in this blog made me pause on first glance and they’re photos I continually go back to when curating for social media. Alicia, Ashley, and Bre are sooo beyond talented at capturing love and I’ve spent a whole lot of time curating all of the engagements and weddings that go up on the blog, so narrowing down my faves was insanely hard for me. For me, these photos grab at something beyond just love, they’re authentic and what I envision when I think of how to emulate true love in the real world. I love all of the blogs I’ve put out, but this is by far my favorite.”
