Thomas + Jacqueline, a Lush Santa Fe Botanical Garden Wedding

Sweet Indiana babes Jacqueline and Thomas wanted to celebrate their love in the dreamiest Southwestern way possible, so they brought the party to Santa Fe. These cuties defied all the odds for what was truly the most gorgeous, unreal wedding of all time.

These two first crossed paths several years ago through mutual friends and felt a spark so real that both Thomas and Jacqueline were almost immediately head-over-heels for one another. After several years of falling more and more in love with each other, Thomas popped the question at Fair Oaks Farms with some of their closest friends and family present.

Almost two whole years later, and after rescheduling their special day several times, these lovebirds finally got to say “I do” in New Mexico. However, despite all of their careful planning, Jacqueline and Thomas were met with one of the biggest rainstorms of the year right in the heart of The City Different. Deciding that not even a downpour could stop their love, these angels made it official at Santa Fe Botanical Garden while the monsoon storm fell on them. Time seemed to stop for a few moments as Thomas and Jacqueline sealed the deal as husband and wife with a rain-soaked kiss, truly a moment straight from a silver screen feature.

Following their truly epic ceremony, these hunnies led their loved ones over to La Posada de Santa Fe for a garden-inspired soirée that was above and beyond our wildest day dreams. From the insanely lush, vibrant florals from Floriography Flowers to custom escort card horseshoes by Darling Details to a desert-themed cake by Maggie’s Wedding Cakes (which was truly a work of art in and of itself), Jacqueline and Thomas took garden party to the next level. To top it all off, heavenly bride Jacqueline had not one, but two reception looks that were seriously to die for (just peep the cowboy hat and dreamy dress details). After the rain had simmered down for a bit, we stole these newlyweds away for just a few more romantics and dang did their love shine through, even on the rainiest of days.

Cheers to all the lovers who refuse to let anything stand in the way of celebrating their new beginnings and for always finding the silver lining.

Ryan + Annie, an Elegantly Modern Santa Fe Wedding

Dallas angels Ryan and Annie brought their love to the Southwest this spring for one of the most breathtakingly romantic days we’ve ever seen. Every last bit of their serene Santa Fe nuptials was beyond beautiful and so dang memorable.

These cuties have been adventuring all over the world together for several years now, so its no surprise that Ryan popped the question while he and Annie were hiking along Path of the Gods trail in the Amalfi Coast, Italy. These two knew that travel and really incredible views would be a major part of their wedding so they picked Four Seasons Santa Fe as the place to make their love official.

On the most dreamy May afternoon, Annie and Ryan said “I do” surrounded by so many of their beloved friends and family. This stellar day had some of the most gorgeous details around, from the soft yet luxe florals, to Annie’s heavenly bridal style, to the most incredible dance party the Southwest has ever witnessed. And if their details weren’t enough, their deeply emotional first look and sweet moment with their pup, Wally, are sure to be the cherry on top of an already incredibly special day.

We adored these sweet souls and their love for one another, cheers to the most amazing new chapter!

Taylor + Eliza, a Timelessly Romantic La Fonda on the Plaza Wedding

Early this spring, Los Angeles lovers Eliza and Taylor journeyed to Santa Fe to officially begin the next chapter of their lives together. This gorgeous April day truly felt suspended in time as these two soulmates celebrated the first moments of marriage together.

These hunnies met in the most modern way via Hinge nearly 8 years ago and even though Taylor was uncharacteristically late for their first date (a fact Eliza will never let him live down!), they’ve been smitten ever since. Over the years, Eliza and Taylor grew as both people and as partners, making their love for each other and for life even stronger. While staying at their vintage trailer way out in the California desert during the lockdown of 2020, Taylor and Eliza decided that they were ready to make their love a forever thing (they even proposed to each other with ring pops during this trip!). Shortly after returning home, Taylor surprised Eliza with a real engagement ring during dinner on their apartment’s balcony.

True to their carefree, yet graceful nature, Taylor and Eliza curated a Santa Fe wedding that was both perfectly modern, yet utterly timeless. From their authentic vintage postcards used for table numbers to their effortless style (take a peek at Taylor’s green suit paired with Eliza’s unreal bridal gown) to incorporating a Southern musician into their day, these two created a day so very unlike anything we’ve ever laid eyes on before. We especially loved how Eliza and Taylor paid tribute to the Tewa people and their ancient land, Oga Po'geh, that present-day Santa Fe sits on during their ceremony.

Taylor and Eliza couldn’t have dreamed up a more genuinely stunning day than this little piece of heaven. We’re forever in it for magical days and the lovers that make them happen.

If you know our team, you know that wedding cakes hold such a big space in our hearts. Truth be told, we’re downright obsessed with seeing how our couples bring together their unique style with this traditional staple.

And the best of all is when we get to witness a perfect blend of a tried and true trend with something brand new (peep that floral cake adorned with custom made jewelry shapes below!).

We’re so dang ready to kick off our 2022 season and see all of those deliciously divine creations every single weekend, bring on all the sugar-coated goodness!

Wedding Inspo - Boho Chic Celebrations

Over the past few seasons a newer trend, that we think is here to stay (!), has become a favorite for so many of our couples. Boho chic weddings and elopements bring together maximalist wedding vibes with unique details for some of the most wildly gorgeous days we’ve ever encountered.

Pampas grass, neon signage, hand-stitched wedding gowns, and that carefree-kind-of-love bring these stellar celebrations together. We adore how boho chic weddings can happen anywhere, whether its on a ranch in Texas Hill Country, in a tiny backyard in Albuquerque, or even at a luxury hotel in Santa Fe. These magnificent days have become a staple for so many of our couples and we are so dang here for it.

We’re so here for all of the larger-than-life, incredibly beautiful boho celebrations this year and beyond, bring on allllll the pretty!!!

Wedding Inspo - Intimate Weddings Part II

Earlier this year we posted a blog about some of our favorite intimate wedding inspiration, but after about a dozen more tiny weddings just in the past few months, we decided to make a part two!

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a dozen times, we ADORE intimate weddings. Everything about these little weddings is absolute perfection, from being able to spend more time with your guests to having a less limited budget due to overall lower costs to even just being able to enjoy more moments soaking up those first few hours of marriage. Over the past few months, we’ve been absolutely blown away by how our couples have taken intimate weddings to the next freaking level. Backyard weddings with all the pretty garden details, stoop weddings followed by mini parades, and the most adorable little farm weddings have just been the beginning of a whole new era of micro-weddings.

We’re not sure when giant weddings will be a consistent possibility in the coming months, but dang are we thankful for these beautiful, heartfelt, downright incredible intimate weddings. We can’t wait to share even more of these gorgeous days still to come!

Michael + Sarah, a Festive La Fonda Wedding

This October, we got to round off our big weddings with an extremely special day with Texas lovers, Michael and Sarah. And while they pulled out all the stops for their friends and family, these two babes also knew how to make this gorgeous day fun and full of love!

Sarah kicked off the day in the beyond heavenly bridal suite at La Fonda on the Plaza where she popped champagne with an entire group of her girlfriends! Her and Michael shared a few tender moments on the sublime staircase during their first look before heading down the through plaza to First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe for their ceremony. After making it last name official, these two were showered in confetti and led by a mariachi parade back up to their reception. We snagged a few precious golden hour moments with these babes for some incredibly sweet romantics in the pretty Santa Fe light.

Their reception was full of dreamy details, from gorgeous fall florals by Artichokes and Pomegranates to a stunning rose-adorned by Maggie’s Wedding Cakes to an all night dance party with live music. There wasn’t a moment of this day that went absolute perfection!

We adored every second of hanging out with Michael and Sarah, becoming irl besties with these two was the sweetest part of the whole day! Cheers lovers, we love you both!!!

Jason + Natalie, a Southwestern Rehearsal Dinner at The Pink Adobe

It’s not a secret that we became absolutely obsessed with Chicago lovers Jason and Natalie after their lovely White Sands engagement session and we just knew their wedding weekend in Santa Fe was going to be one for the books!

These two kicked off their celebration with a festive rehearsal dinner at the ever-so-quaint Santa Fe gem, The Pink Adobe. Complete with a New Mexico inspired cake by our girl Zara at Maggie’s Wedding Cakes, to custom gift bags designed by Funky Olive Designs (who used this same amazing design for Jason and Natalie’s wedding day details), to a surprise appearance by a tequila donkey, this night was just the tip of the iceberg for a truly incredible wedding weekend

We can’t wait to share Jason and Natalie’s out-of-this-world day here on the blog, but until then, feast your eyes on this perfect Santa Fe night!

John + Anna, an avant-garde La Fonda wedding

Over the last few wedding seasons we’ve spent a lot of time at the ever gorgeous historic La Fonda on the Plaza and we’ve captured so much love at this beautiful venue. So when John and Anna came all the way from Brooklyn, NY to celebrate their big day at La Fonda, we couldn’t wait to see how they’d make their day so perfectly unique. Lets just say, they did not disappoint. These lovers not only brought big East Coast glam to the heart of the Southwest, but they did it in a way that was outrageously fun, remarkable, and truly a celebration like no other!

John and Anna met through mutual friends at a holiday party and although John tried to get Anna’s number from their friend James, he was unsuccessful (but still managed to get in contact with her!). After several years together, John (discreetly) proposed to Anna with her grandmother’s wedding diamond (swoon) at Grand Central Station before surprising her with dinner at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in upstate New York.

Even though their wedding day had a surprise rainstorm, Anna and John didn’t let anything stop them from celebrating their love! During a slight drizzle (which truly made their ceremony all the more romantic), these two said “I do”surrounded by all of their loved ones on La Fonda’s famous La Terraza balcony. And if their ceremony wasn’t enough to make us super heart-eyed over them, John and Anna’s absolutely killer vendor team including Renegade Floral (bringing those stunning arches and bouquets), Maggie’s Wedding Cakes (with the craziest rainbow creation, shag rug inspired greatness), makeup artist Kata Baron (who’s the queen b of that natural bridal glow), Vera Wang (with a classic yet so dang modern bridal gown) and Diamond Empire Band (a crew that always brings down the house with reception jams) made this day one for the books! They also brought in paper goods and signage from their incredibly talented friend Natalie Soud (please come design our entire lives!) and bluegrass ceremony music courtesy of Santa Fe based Kitty Jo Creek Band.

To top it all off, these two surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance that included just the right amount of both ballroom dancing and disco! John and Anna didn’t just have a super glam wedding, they had a wedding that was completely theirs, true to them and we adore them so much for it! Thank you for letting us be a part of your epic Santa Fe party, congrats Mr and Mrs Redmond!!!

Ashwin + Lauren, a Hindu-Catholic Wedding in Santa Fe

When sweet Lauren and Ashwin first reached out to us last summer about capturing their two day Catholic-Hindu wedding, we knew it would be like nothing we’ve ever been a part of before. This past Labor Day weekend, these kind souls tied the knot and celebrated the melding of two very different, but very beautiful cultures.

Lauren and Ashwin met, and eventually fell in love, while on call in a hospital while both working on their medical residency at Harvard in Boston, MA. Even though Ashwin, who was two years ahead of Lauren, went to Philadelphia, PA for his cardiology fellowship, these two not only made a long distance relationship work for three years (!), but their relationship became that much stronger. Ashwin surprised Lauren by proposing in his apartment right before dinner and the rest is history. In Lauren’s words, “We are truly best friends and love that we constantly make each other laugh and inspire each other to be the best versions of ourselves” We adore how much these two love and care for each other, something that was so tangible and beautiful throughout their weekend in Santa Fe.

Day one of Ashwin and Lauren’s wedding consisted of a traditional Catholic wedding at the historic Cathedral Basilica of St Francis of Assisi, right in the heart of Santa Fe. Lauren blended super classic and gorgeous bridal details like her pastel bouquet and dreamy Pnina Tornai gown with stunning Henna on both her hands and feet. After their beautiful church wedding, Lauren + Ashwin and their guests were led to The Inn and Spa at Loretto by Mariachis (because what Santa Fe is complete without them?!). We got to spend an entire hour (!) with these lovers just strolling around the plaza and taking more gorgeous romantics than we ever could have asked for. With a whole lot of wedding day beauty, from Floriography’s stunning floral elephant (named Gus btw) and Maggie’s Wedding Cake’s bright and colorful Indian themed cake, along with the always stunning planning of Just Lovely Weddings, their reception was out of this world. They kicked it off with traditional speeches, cake cutting (Lauren cut the cake with a sword!), and a first dance, before changing into beautiful, traditional Hindu attire to party the rest of the night away! Lauren surprised Ashwin with a speech in his native Indian language and performed an Indian dance with her friends. Their reception included the best mix of Indian, American, and Latino music we’ve ever heard.

The first day of this incredible weekend was one that our team will never forget, we were so honored to capture such a tender, compassionate, and thoroughly genuine love story. Ashwin + Lauren, we love you and how much your love inspires us!!!

Chris + Emma, a Hacienda Doña Andrea Wedding

In their sweet little modern love story, Chris and Emma met on a dating app while both were living in upstate New York. Even though Emma was supposed to go on a different date, one of her best friends had gone to high school with Chris and convinced her to meet up with him instead. They spent their first date in a state park and the rest is history!

Chris proposed to Emma in their home with a custom ring from Etsy that Emma had been looking at for awhile. Both being pretty reserved people, Emma described the proposal as “simple, sweet….very us”. And we adored every second of their sweet, intimate, incredible day!

Chris and Emma threw the best little celebration at Hacienda Doña Andrea in Santa Fe with lots of personal touches and DIY details. From Emma’s whimsical bridal style complete with white boots and a fur jacket to their amazingly bright floral arch by our gals at Viva Flora to ringing a historic bell moments after becoming husband and wife, these two set the bar for small weddings soooo high! These babes definitely have us convinced that real, amazing love is out there in the modern age and we’re forever reliving this day!
