Michael + Erika, a Windswept Ghost Ranch Wedding

It may have been the brightest, windiest spring day of all, but lovers Erika and Michael still pulled off one of the most stunning weddings we’ve ever seen. These babes made it official way out at Ghost Ranch and just trust us when we say it was one for the books!

Long before they were celebrating in the Southwest with all of their loved ones, Michael and Erika first met on Tinder in 2019 (or in their words they “found love in a hopeless place”). Their connection was undeniable from the very beginning and both of these cuties say that they have never felt a connection so tangible and genuine before (swoon). Michael proposed to Erika at Ghost Ranch in the fall of 2021 and they decided that this special location would also be the most picturesque place to make their love official.

Fast forward to April of 2022 and these lovebirds finally got to have their dreamy little wedding day. For their epic day, Erika and Michael chose vendors that not only create incredible work, but are also amazing humans. Our angel Melissa at Renegade Floral created some of the most breathtaking details we’ve ever witnessed, from the bridal bouquet to the floral arch to the centerpieces, everyone was truly blown away by all of the floral goodness. And if that wasn’t enough, Erika wore the most perfectly rustic, yet modern Pronovias gown from our babes at The Dressing Room West and paired her look with cowboy boots and the most beautiful engagement ring by Native American jeweler Keri Ataumbi.

Michael and Erika also paid special detail to making sure that all of their guests had an amazing experience so they included super personal details into their celebration, like the record player that guests could pick vinyls to listen to before the ceremony. They even had Dig and Serve whip up the most amazing food and drinks (they also brought that incredibly cozy tent for guests to hang out in!). After their emotional ceremony at Ghost Ranch, Erika and Michael took the party to downtown Santa Fe for an intimate dinner at La Boca and a tiny adventure around the plaza just in time for some golden hour romantics.

We were so dang thrilled to witness this amazing adventure of a day, cheers to love in the most unexpected places!!!

Wedding Inspo - Groom Style Third Edition

While its true that we have a huge affinity for stellar bridal style on the blog, we can’t help but share a little bit of love with our stylish, dapper, and downright handsome grooms! Not only are these guys total on-camera knockouts, they’re also some of the kindest, most personable dudes you could ever ask for on wedding days!

We love a sleek, traditional black suit or tux, so how do grooms elevate this classic style? Our grooms have tapped into everything, from incorporating Southwestern flair with bolo ties or designer cowboy boots to adding personal touches like a cool pair of sunglasses or a surprise pop of color in their boutonniere or suit jacket lining!

And we’ve had plenty of grooms chose other colors for their wedding days suits as well including blue, grey, tan, and even mix-and-match colors! We’ve loved seeing how these guys dressed up colors other than black for their big day and adored seeing so many unique details including ties with tiny prints on them (from polka dots to florals) to broaches (instead of a traditional bow tie or tie) to opting for unique textures like wool.

Last season we saw an incredible variety of groom style and honestly we’re thrilled to see what our next guys have in store for us, we’re crossing our fingers for a few extra daring grooms with non-traditional suit colors! Until then, take a look at these wedding day hunks, we had the best time capturing each one of these wedding day hubbies!

John + Anna, an avant-garde La Fonda wedding

Over the last few wedding seasons we’ve spent a lot of time at the ever gorgeous historic La Fonda on the Plaza and we’ve captured so much love at this beautiful venue. So when John and Anna came all the way from Brooklyn, NY to celebrate their big day at La Fonda, we couldn’t wait to see how they’d make their day so perfectly unique. Lets just say, they did not disappoint. These lovers not only brought big East Coast glam to the heart of the Southwest, but they did it in a way that was outrageously fun, remarkable, and truly a celebration like no other!

John and Anna met through mutual friends at a holiday party and although John tried to get Anna’s number from their friend James, he was unsuccessful (but still managed to get in contact with her!). After several years together, John (discreetly) proposed to Anna with her grandmother’s wedding diamond (swoon) at Grand Central Station before surprising her with dinner at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in upstate New York.

Even though their wedding day had a surprise rainstorm, Anna and John didn’t let anything stop them from celebrating their love! During a slight drizzle (which truly made their ceremony all the more romantic), these two said “I do”surrounded by all of their loved ones on La Fonda’s famous La Terraza balcony. And if their ceremony wasn’t enough to make us super heart-eyed over them, John and Anna’s absolutely killer vendor team including Renegade Floral (bringing those stunning arches and bouquets), Maggie’s Wedding Cakes (with the craziest rainbow creation, shag rug inspired greatness), makeup artist Kata Baron (who’s the queen b of that natural bridal glow), Vera Wang (with a classic yet so dang modern bridal gown) and Diamond Empire Band (a crew that always brings down the house with reception jams) made this day one for the books! They also brought in paper goods and signage from their incredibly talented friend Natalie Soud (please come design our entire lives!) and bluegrass ceremony music courtesy of Santa Fe based Kitty Jo Creek Band.

To top it all off, these two surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance that included just the right amount of both ballroom dancing and disco! John and Anna didn’t just have a super glam wedding, they had a wedding that was completely theirs, true to them and we adore them so much for it! Thank you for letting us be a part of your epic Santa Fe party, congrats Mr and Mrs Redmond!!!

Morgan + Mattie, a Big Colorful Las Campanas Santa Fe Wedding

In late July we were beyond lucky enough to capture Texas sweethearts Morgan and Mattie during their epic wedding weekend. From rehearsal dinner to wedding day, these to were nothing short of sweet, fun, and overall a dream couple! Their love story kicked off its next chapter in Santa Fe, but these babes had the cutest beginning.

Morgan and Mattie met over five years ago a bar called Reinfields Corner in Dallas, TX. Morgan made a big move by approaching Mattie and her group of friends with fireball shots. These two hit it off instantly and had their first date a week later. Flash forward to July 2018 when Mattie and Morgan visited Santa Fe. Mattie, who is incredibly hard to surprise, was completely surprised when Morgan popped the question at the Nedra Matteucci art gallery!

Mattie and Morgan wanted to make it last name official in Santa Fe and selected some of our all time favorite vendor pals to make their dream day a gorgeous reality. Floriography Flowers brought the lush, maximalist florals to this day, our literal angel Genica Lee made Mattie even more beautiful than normal with the prettiest hair + makeup, and Ashley of A Beautiful Theme made sure that every last detail and design at Las Campanas was absolutely stunning! Mattie paired the classic couture of her Reem Acra dress with the coolest custom cowboy boot from Miron Crosby and we are soooo here for that bridal western wear. To make this day even more fun, Mattie and Morgan not only brought their chocolate lab Bingley to New Mexico as their Best Dog (he even got a floral wreath to wear for the day), but they also gave him the ultimate honor of being part of their wedding day hashtag ,and our favorite one yet tbh, #bingelygetsadad.

We wish that every single wedding could be as insanely gorgeous, detailed oriented, and wonderfully fun as this day! Congrats to Mr and Mrs Mitchell, we love y’all (and Bingley too)!
