Colin + Amber, an Elegantly Lush Backyard Wedding

Just when we thought our wedding season couldn’t get any dreamier, Colin and Amber pulled out all the stops for the most stunning backyard celebration we’ve ever seen. These sweethearts’ day was filled with lush botanicals, the prettiest details, and a whole lot of love.

We first met these cuties through Amber’s sister Ashley, the wedding queen behind A Beautiful Theme, and we just knew that their day would be so dang gorgeous. Amber and Colin seriously had every last detail perfected and we can’t get over it. From Amber’s divine bridal gown to the overwhelming stunning ceremony florals to THAT reception tent filled with lounges and greenery for days, this little fall day won’t be forgotten anytime soon. The love that Amber and Colin’s friends and family share for them was so palpable and joyous to witness, we loved getting to see them celebrate their special day in such a big way!

Logan + Audry, a Magical Taos Ski Valley Wedding

On the most divine afternoon in August, Logan and Audry said “I do” after nine whole years of being together. These sweet Wisconsin angels invited us to be a part of the magic up in Taos Ski Valley and it was truly heaven on earth.

Long before they were making it last name official in the iconic Kachina Basin at Taos, Logan and Audry were just a couple of college students who happened to meet by chance through mutual friends at a party. They found an almost instant spark and have been falling more and more in love with each other since. A few years down the road, Logan and Audry moved to the beautiful Southwest where they currently live with their two pups, Skip and Georgia. And as if life couldn’t get any sweeter for these cuties, Logan proposed to Audry in 2019 on a rainy day in New York City.

For their special day, these hunnies decided to get hitched at Taos Ski Valley not only due to its immense beauty, but because its the ski resort where Logan taught Audry how to ski and it continues to be one of their favorite places in all of New Mexico. On top of having the most ethereal mountain view for their nuptials, Audry and Logan also had details that were absolutely to die for. From Audry’s divine bridal gown by Made With Love Bridal to out-of-this-world signage and invitations by Funky Olive Design to the most majestic florals by Floral Elegance to the most stunning reception design by Wild in Wonder, this day was nothing short of the most gorgeous day dream. And if their details weren’t enough to swoon over, Logan and Audry even took some time to wander around with us through the beautiful woods and serene scenery of Taos Ski Valley for some of the most enchanting romantics we’ve ever laid our eyes on.

These two and this day will forever be one that we simply can’t get enough of, cheers to all the love and joy Logan and Audry brought to their incredible summer day! We can’t wait for even more mountain weddings that will surely captivate us over and over again!

2021, a Year with ALP

After the truly life changing year the was 2020, we knew that this year was going to be incredibly special as the world finally opened back up for big weddings and celebrations of all kinds. Our 2021 couples filled our cups to the brim with the must stunning days that we’ll cherish for seasons to come.

If going back to a full wedding season wasn’t exciting enough for us, we were also beyond lucky to travel to so many gorgeous new locations this year. From the vast wine country of Austin to the dreamy mountains of Taos to the ever mystic Ghost Ranch to all the new little spaces in Santa Fe, our scenery was far from the ordinary. On top of this, so many of our couples were finally able to celebrate with all of their friends and family, an experience that we will never take for granted ever again.

Adam + Shubha, a Colorful Indian Wedding at Four Seasons Santa Fe

When Adam and Shubha reached out to us about their colorful, garden and Southwestern infused Indian wedding celebration, we knew that it would be one to remember. This gorgeous spring day featured touches from both of these lovers’ cultures and lives, making it that much more incredible.

These cuties first met not too long ago in 2019 while both living all the way on the East Coast in Maryland. They fell in love during their long strolls together amid the picturesque views of their city. Soon after, they decided to take even more amazing strolls while traveling to Canada, Seoul, and London in the fall of 2019. Soon after their sweet dogs bonded and these two really became a tiny little family, Adam’s career opportunity brought them all the way to great Southwest. Soon after, they became engaged and the rest is history!

Adam + Shubha not only included a ton of amazing traditional wedding details into their beautiful May celebration, they also let Shubha’s Indian culture deeply influence their nuptials This day started with a colorful and truly amazing Indian wedding ceremony filled with the most stellar bridal attire, dreamy pampas grass, and all the amazing final touches. Soon after this, these cuties also made their day even more official with a modern wedding ceremony and ring exchange. They followed up these pretty ceremonies with a calm, yet beautiful reception with the most wonderful late spring weather.

We so love all of the amazingly unique and special weddings we get to be a part of every single season, cheers to doing the dang thing in the most remarkable way Adam + Shubha!

Angie + Brittany, a Heartfelt Backyard Wedding

Even though 2020 has been a whirlwind for both our team and our couples, we were beyond lucky enough to cross paths with two of the most kindhearted lovers around, Angie and Brittany. Not only did these two completely re-plan their wedding, but they still created the most heartfelt, beautiful little summer evening.

These babes first met in 2014 while in grad school at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and even though they had known each other for awhile, they really started to click during a night out with friends. On that same night, and after Taco Bell and a little bit of tequila, these two shared their first kiss. Ever since then, Brittany and Angie have fallen deeper in love with one another and have built the sweetest life together. From their shared passions of gardening, cooking, and hanging out with their cutie pets (Mimi the dog and Indica the cat) to striving to make the world a better place (all while having the most fun in life), we’re unbelievably inspired by these two.

In late 2019, Brittany and Angie decided to make their love official. After looking at rings together, they both knew it was only a matter of time before an imminent proposal. In December, right before Angie’s birthday, Brittany proposed in their living room (while both were in their PJs with only their pets around). Angie proposed soon after in January while they were in their backyard (forever in tears over sweet, at-home proposals).

After their initial wedding plans fell through due to the madness that is 2020, Brittany and Angie not only changed direction, but they did it with the most gracious, kind outlook. Scaling down their day to a tiny backyard celebration, these two had a limited amount of guests in-person with them and the rest of their friends and family members on Zoom. Their vows moved everyone present (physically and digitally!) to tears and we were so blown away by the outpouring of love and admiration for these sweethearts, from loved ones both near and far. To top off their deeply genuine nuptials, Brittany and Angie spent a little time with us for some of the most endearing romantics, including everything from the dreamiest backyard-garden snuggles to casual smooches in a Porsche(!!!). And if all of that wasn’t enough, this day was ultra special thanks to our friend Bagels Florals who not only created some of the most stellar ceremony florals to adorn Darling Details’ infamous hexagon arch, but this amazing artist also made not one but TWO absolutely divine bouquets!

The biggest thank you to Angie and Brittany for not only trusting us with your day despite everything that 2020 brought, but for being so gracious and downright wonderful through it all. Cheers to an entire lifetime of loving each other to the fullest and for always bringing so much light into this world!
