Weddings days are always so filled to the brim with joy and excitement, but one trend we’ve been loving on over the past couple of seasons is bridal sessions. These dreamy little days add a touch of magic and extra beauty to some of the sweet love stories of all time and here’s our favorite reasons why you should consider bringing us along for a bridal session.
1) Location Location Location
While wedding days may be more limited in terms of guest count and accessibility, bridal sessions can happen literally anywhere and on any day of the week. If you’ve been dreaming of romantic photos in Europe or adventurous mid-week city portraits, bridal might just be the perfect fit for you and your lover.
2) A Moment of Privacy
On wedding days, it might feel like couples never get a moment to revel in their newlywed status together so bridal sessions provide the perfect opportunity for couples to see each other in their stunning wedding attire and soak in all the love in a more private way.
3) Showing off Style
While most couples opt to wear the same attire for most their wedding and their bridal session, some couples use bridal sessions as an opportunity to test out a secondary wedding look or wear something less traditional for portraits. We love seeing our couples’ style shine so dang bright during these dreamy little sessions.
4) Perfecting the Details
In addition to getting to wear their wedding day looks for an additional time, couples also use bridal sessions to get a dress rehearsal for their hair, makeup, and florals. By providing vendors with an extra, less-stressful situation, couples are better able to communicate exactly what they want for their wedding day and give their vendors time to make extra changes if needed.
5) Becoming BFFs with Photo and Video Teams
As if we didn’t need another excuse to hang out with our incredible couples, bridal sessions give our team and our lovers one more chance to connect before wedding days. These sessions are also a great opportunity to test out what poses and angles couples like as well as figure out the best way to capture their love!

Taylor + Jaxon, a Divine New Mexico Wedding
It’s no surprise that after Taylor and Jaxon’s Lake Powell bridals we became absolutely smitten with this couple, but these Utah angels’ wedding day truly took our obsession to a whole new level. From beginning to end this day was a celebration of two soulmates at the start of their most exciting journey yet.
After first crossing paths through mutual friends in college, Jaxon and Taylor felt an immediate, undeniable spark. Their relationship grew quickly, leading these cuties to become not just lovers, but best friends too. As soon as Jaxon knew that Taylor was the one, he proposed at his grandmother’s cabin (the very same spot the went for their first date) and the rest is history!
These hunnies knew that in addition to their sealing ceremony at the Albuquerque LDS Temple, they wanted their wedding to be a uniquely personal experience. So Taylor and Jaxon planned the garden reception of their dreams at Taylor’s incredible childhood home in the heart of Corrales. From a pathway lined with thousands of white florals to monogrammed details around every corner to Taylor wearing her mom’s vintage wedding gown for part of the day to the most insanely fun first dance, these babes pulled out all of the stops for their loved ones. And if all of the details weren’t breathtaking enough, Taylor and Jaxon surprised everyone with a late night dive in the swimming pool followed by the most epic sparkler exit of all time!
We know these cuties will only continue to bring joy and light into the lives of everyone they meet, we’re forever the biggest fans of The Kuttlers!!
