Dennis + Brianna, a Wondrous Santa Fe Wedding

Hunnies Dennis and Brianna celebrated the first few days of married life with one of the most spectacular wedding weekends of all. This Santa Fe Fairytale was one for the books!

Long before they were celebrating their nuptials in the Southwest, Dennis and Brianna had their very first encounter at a geology conference in Houston, TX in 2018. After initially bonding over their mutual love for geology, these two quickly became inseparable. Several years down the road in 2022, these hunnies got engaged and made plans for their brand new chapter together.

Brianna and Dennis knew that they wanted a Southwestern themed wedding and found that La Fonda on the Plaza would not only be the perfect location for their dream vibe, but that it would be a stunning backdrop for all of the different cultural elements they planned on having in their special day. From the most unique, yet modern boho florals, to the most ethereal bridal style (just look at Brianna’s one of a kind veil) to the party of the century, Dennis and Brianna pulled out all of the stops for their Santa Fe celebration. And to top it all off, they made sure to not only spend lots of time with their loved ones, but to also sneak off for some dreamy romantics in that magical Santa Fe sunlight.

We adored these cuties and their stellar weekend so dang much, cheers to newlywed life and all of its adventures!

Victoria + J.Michael, a Gorgeous La Fonda on the Plaza Wedding

Oklahoma cuties Victoria and J.Michael brought the party to Santa Fe for one of the most stunning weekday weddings we’ve ever witnessed. These angels’ day was full of newlywed bliss and the most gorgeous details.

On the most gorgeous May afternoon Victoria and J.Michael became husband and wife surrounded by all of their most beloved family and friends. From their beyond sweet first look to an emotional ceremony to ending the whole night with a glorious grand exit, these babes sure do know how to throw the dreamiest bash!

Cheers to married life Mr. and Mrs. Meyers, the best is yet to come!!

Whether you’re a big fan of wedding traditions or super into doing things your own way, there’s no denying just how sweet wedding cakes (and cake cutting) can be. Our couples teamed up with some of the most spectacular bakers of all time to dream up wedding day creations we’re still marveling over to this day.

From the classic floral stunners to the stunning desert inspired beauties to the pressed flower cuties to the minimalist, modern showstoppers, all of these cakes left us pining for more. We love seeing new cake trends mixed in with old classics and we know that the 2023 season is going to bring even more of these gorgeous confections.

Will + Elizabeth, a Sublime Bishop's Lodge Wedding

We rounded off the ever-magical month of October with some very heavenly nuptials at Bishop’s Lodge right above the Santa Fe Plaza. Chicago babes Will and Elizabeth made their union official with an ethereal soirée on quite possibly the most pristine fall day one could ever hope for in the Southwest.

These cuties met back in 2011 while they were both in college at Miami University in Ohio and after their first date they were absolutely smitten with one another. Upon graduation, these two moved to Chicago where they began their new chapter together. In October of 2021, Will surprised Elizabeth with a sunset engagement on a Santa Monica beach followed by a surprise celebration with a handful of these hunnies’ closest friends and family.

Elizabeth and Will soon had their hearts set on Bishop’s Lodge for their big day as this venue’s iconic views and stunning architecture truly make it one of The City Different’s most magnificent jewels. These lovers combined all of the classic and modern details any hopeless romantic could dream of: an unparalleled Vivienne Westwood bridal gown, soft and yet chic white florals by Floral Elegance, and easily one of the best dressed wedding parties we’ve ever laid eyes on. And to top off all of the magnificence this lovely day encompassed, Will and Elizabeth made extra time for not only the dreamiest of wedding portraits, but for extremely intentional moments with their guests during cocktail hour.

We’re sure that this pair will continue to create beauty and joy on every adventure ahead of them, cheers to married life!

John + Parrish, a Luxurious Santa Fe Wedding

Kindred souls Parrish and John are truly two angels that are meant to be together and their magical Santa Fe wedding was a testament to these cuties’ love and devotion for one another. Everyone who bore witness to this rainy, yet ethereal day knows that the love shared was one for the ages.

John and Parrish met way back in 2016 during a time when neither of them anticipated such a strong connection. Parrish, who had just started pursuing her PhD at Purdue University in Indiana, was visiting friends in Houston when she was introduced to John at a pre-game party. These hunnies immediately hit it off and spent that same evening at Christmas party taking in the views, the drinks, and each other’s company. Realizing how incredible their connection was, John and Parrish spent the next three years visiting each other whenever they could and traveling to new places together. In 2019, the universe threw these lovers a curveball when Parrish received a breast cancer diagnosis, but true to form, John never left her side throughout the entire process. After Parrish completed her treatment in 2020 and was declared cancer free, she moved back to Texas to be with John. Shortly after, John popped the question in 2021 at the Houstonian Hotel under the dreamiest twinkle lights and Parrish, of course, said ‘yes.’

After searching the globe for the perfect place to say “I do”, Parrish and John knew that no place could be better than sweet little Santa Fe, a place where they had spent many special moments together over the years. On the most serene, yet rainy October day, La Posada de Santa Fe provided the perfect backdrop to these lovers’ luxe, elegant, and absolutely show-stopping black and white soirée. Even though, Parrish and John opted out of a first look, the moment they saw each other through the rainfall during their ceremony was truly magical and deeply touching.After making their love official, these hunnies made extra time for portraits and let’s just say that their old Hollywood vibes were nothing short of an absolute day dream to capture (just peep those incredible indoor photos and breathtaking balcony moments). And if the first half of their day wasn’t awe-inspiring enough, John and Parrish threw the ultimate bash complete with a live band, sparkler towers, and the most Great Gatsby-esque champagne tower. These two finished off this marvelous day surrounded by all of their friends and family on the dance floor, truly the most lovely ending to a beyond cinematic day.

We adored the way John and Parrish love each other with a deep, unconditional devotion and we know that together these two are going to make the world around them even more incredible.

Alex + Blakely, a Mesmerizing Four Seasons Wedding

Long-time lovies Alex and Blakely have always had a massive crush on Santa Fe, so when it came time to make their love official, they knew that The City Different would be absolute perfection. These two brought all of the romance and beauty to one of the most enchanting locations ever.

Even though these two have been together for many years, their sweet story began in a most unconventional way: bonding over a shared love for pizza. Blakely and Alex met through mutual friends when they were both seniors in high school and one of the first times they ever interacted involved Alex sharing the very last slice of pizza with Blakely at a birthday dinner. From that moment on, these two hunnies became inseparable and quickly fell deeply in love with one another. A few years down the road, Alex proposed to Blakely in Breckenridge at one of their favorite little locations.

This September, these cuties dreamed up the most stunning day at Four Seasons Santa Fe and dang was it a sight to behold. Blakely’s divine bridal style (just look at that iconic Galia Lahav gown), boho-chic florals by Floral Elegance, and little hints of turquoise throughout their details made this day special beyond compare. We loved getting to sneak away with Alex and Blakely after their ceremony for a few blissful moments in the most heavenly Southwest light and then partying the night away with them surrounded by all of their friends and family.

We’re over the moon for these two, their love, and every single piece of their incredible day. Newlywed life looks so good on you angels, cheers to all of the adventures ahead!

If you know our team, you know that wedding cakes hold such a big space in our hearts. Truth be told, we’re downright obsessed with seeing how our couples bring together their unique style with this traditional staple.

Each and every season brings out new cake trends as well as the classic styles we’ve come to absolutely adore over the years. We’ve been crushing so dang hard on all of the funky shag rug cakes, incredible heart-shaped beauties, and those pressed flower darlings, but we’re also major fans of those ever-so-stunning buttercream floral cakes that compliment literally any wedding out there.
